If Dean is the coach next year his seat is about to be very very hot. I get that injuries were a factor but the hitting has been bad for two straight years against good teams.

You are more tied into softball than I am Ross.

Yeah two years and will likely get a third. We have a good recruiting class coming in and in and the circumstances he faced coming in were suboptimal to say the least. But outside of one series win against Alabama in his first season and the two SECT wins this year there haven’t been many high points to speak of, and the difference in quality between these teams and Myers’ is night and day. Granted the hitting decline did start in Myers’ last season but with so much going on behind the scenes it was hard to really blame anything but the locker room drama for how that season went and still the season only ended because we ran into the OU buzzsaw. Bottom line is injuries or not, Auburn has not played to their talent level and cost themselves big time with no hitting and untimely errors time and time again. I think Dean needs a top half of the conference finish next year and/or winning a regional to feel like we are trending in the right direction.
