What I don’t understand is we let the old man “resign” over his son after most of the softball players vouched for his character. They even wanted him to return to watch them play after he was gone.

This Dean guy must be a joke.

I think he may have played dumb to what was going on. Regardless of how many championships you can win, you can't have your coaching staff plowing your players. You certainly can't look the other way. At the end of the day, this is softball and we can't allow its problems to bleed to revenue producing sports.

It’s too bad too. Women’s softball really is more fun to watch than baseball. Being good for those 2-3 years really made for some fun sports viewing

Phillip Marshall says in the first 12 SEC games (including Tennessee) our softball team scored 80 runs. In the last 12 SEC games we only scored 19! And we have a veteran team.

I believe it. We hit some kind of wall Midway through the year and have had no answers on how to overcome it.

It’s a wall that really doesn’t make any sense.

Auburn lost to UAB yesterday. Before the loss Caldwell said we needed to win the mid week games and at least 2/3rds of the remaining SEC schedule to have a decent shot at hosting.

Midweek games mean absolutely nothing for Auburn right now.

In order to host we likely need to win 4/6 remaining SEC games and then 2 games in Hoover. We're likely gonna be the 2 seed in Atlanta.

Only thing that matters now in conference wins and losses.

Going to be hard to win a series with the next two opponents. Could easily get swept twice. Here’s to hoping.

Time to lay off the dope man. Better chance we win both series than get swept in both.

In softball news, we beat Mizzou 3-0 in the opening round of the SEC tournament. Play 2 seed Tennessee at 530 tomorrow.

Auburn is taking a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the 7th

Auburn wins, channeling that Auburn basketball postseason vibes I hope

Softball won 3-0 to make the semi-final. Lowest seed to ever accomplish this.

The next lowest seed was Ole Miss in 2017 that won the tournament and Auburn in 2001 that lost in the semis
