What’s more unbelievable to me is that he’s already played 3 seasons. It seems like he just signed.

Interesting news. Has he already received his draft evaluation?

Read my post on the 1st page. He had a 1st/2nd round grade but the word going around is that he needs minor surgery, on his knee I believe. This has nothing to do with him "coming back to win", or anyone "convincing to stay". He is apparently hurt to the point where it would negatively affect his stock, thats it. He would have declared otherwise.

Everything I’ve seen had him going Top 15

This is huge. If we can get good LB and CB play we'll be in business

I'm sure it will be beneficial for the new guys coming in to learn from him too.

Quite a few mocks did, but there were also some had him late RD2 as well.

Either way though, sounds like the injury story adds up

If he already had a first round grade why couldn’t he decline position drills and just conduct interviews. Many players have done that at the combine. It’s not like he can guarantee an injury free season and his draft stock will be just as high next year.

Because he has top 10 pick talent, that generally requires combine drills. Regardless, glad to have him back.

I will never blame a kid for jumping early, and if I were the coach I would probably encourage a first rounder to go pro; notwithstanding, I'll never second guess a guy that wants to come back either. Its his choice, and we get the benefit regardless of the reason.

This is huge! DT rotations had me a little concerned for next year. The loss of Russell, Brown, and Jackson, would have been hard to overcome. This softens the blow.

I'm not sure what was his reason (he said it was graduating. I don't believe that with online classes now) but this has to be seen as a huge program boost. One of the biggest things about major programs is seeing the top junior players come back for a senior season.

I consider this Gus' biggest recruiting victory of this 2019 class. Selling Brown on coming back has to be the best JUCO transfer we could have brought in. War Eagle.

This is an absolutely stacked DT/DL draft class to begin with. Brown's on field performance wasn't so dominant as to lock up a RD1 pick no combine if med eval revealed knee injury/surgery

A lot of lineman have had careers derailed by knee injuries. Hard to fully guarantee RD1 $ to a 300lb guy recovering from knee injury

My feelings as well. Wish they let kids go through combine to get draft grade first.

Is there a limit on how much they’ll let these players get insured for?
