I'm about to dump DirecTV and just go with streaming. About the only thing stopping me is how to get the games. Anybody have any advice or experience live streaming the games? Thanks!

YouTube TV. Just make sure to use the Watch ESPN app to watch SEC Network Plus games. Your subscription gives you access fortunately.

DirecTV Now
Get package #2 and you’ll have essentially all cable TV channels needed for football.
I did have to buy bunny ears for the TV for channels like ABC, CBS, FOX, etc. Local channels.

There are multiple ways. CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX games can be watched over-the-air depending where you live. May need a good antenna, mine is in my attic.
If all you are looking for is the ESPN network family with SEC network I would go with ESPN+ for $5 month.
If you are interested in more channels like FS1, B1G Ten network, Fox Sports South you should look into PS Vue, Sling TV, and DirecTV Now. I would just compare prices to the channels you actually want to watch. Some of these services may include your local channels. All probably have a free trial.
You may already own some hardware you use to watch netflix or something, but if not I personally like Roku. If you are on a budget the Roku stick works great.
I've used Sling TV, PS Vue, and DirecTV Now. I use DirecTV Now now but I got in at the introductory price and just kept telling myself it would get better and it is better now. PS VUE was much better at the time I switched but I couldn't beat the price of $35/month for over 100 channels. ETA: I have the GO BIG for $40/month now. They went up $5 on me last month.

YouTube TV gives you ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, SECN (no alternate channels though), FS1, FS2, FSS, FSSE, CBSSN, and NBCSN, plus (in most locations) all of your local channels and their sports broadcasting for $40 per month.

I left DirecTV paying $130 per month and now have YouTube TV.
The only hiccup I had is that the last Auburn game against Alabama State was on the SECN alternate channel so I didn't get it on TV, but I logged on and watched it through WatchESPN online using my YouTube username/password.

YoutubeTV is not available in all areas. I think Birmingham, Mobile, Huntsville are the only locations available in Alabama.

Well I live in Mobile so that may come in handy. I have a few more months left before DirecTV jacks up the price on me. I'm paying $40 right now, but that's not gonna last. Thanks for all the suggestions.

WatchESPN app and a digital antenna is all you'll need.
Find a family member or friend who still has cable and will let you use their email and password to login to the WatchESPN app. Assuming they have the full package then anything that comes on any of the ESPN channels or SEC Network you'll be able to live stream on the app.
Digital antenna for games on network channels like CBS or ABC.
That'll get you every football game and all or most basketball games too.

One of the best things about Youtube TV is that you can put multiple people on your account without having to share passwords.

I use SlingTV ($25/month) and OTA channels. Missed the Alabama St game, but oh well.
Now if you are a bit more nefarious in your life walk, you can hit CFB Streams on Reddit. Use an adapter cord to display on your TV and you can have any game in HD for free. Not always reliable and often 4-5 minutes behind, but it’s at least an option.

Playstation Vue, Direct TV Now, Sling, and Hulu TV are all about the same. Just see which one has the best rate for what you want. CBS All Access is $5 a month and you can stream CBS live from that if you don't mind the fee.

You should be able to download the ESPN app if you have sling.

I second the cfbstreams sub, it was the only way I was able to catch the beginning of last week's game becuase WatchESPN refused to work until almost the second quarter.
I keep the radio broadcast ready on my phone just in case my stream craps out.

I've got DirecTV NOW and its okay to stream. I've had some problems with it freezing up and getting choppy but it could be my internet connection.
SEC Network+ you'd had to sign into the ESPN App to view it.
I stream from an Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV at my house. Apple TV is pretty legit.

We cut the cord and got SlingTv. We play only $30 a month. But the most important thing is you can log on to the WatchESPN app and watch all the game that come on ESPN trough the app. The only draw back is your have to get a over the air antenna to watch CBS and the other network games.
