Pretty simple. When Gus hits the right combo of QB, OL, RB and WR he can put together a pretty lethal offense but when one or more of the pieces is missing he can't adjust and you get 8-5 or worse.

i saw this and it makes those two iron bowl wins seem moot

some of that information is not accurate, just off the top of my head CTT got beat by USF at home. That's without going back and looking or thinking to hard.
I know the numbers are bad but they are bad enough without the inaccurate information.

I think one main point for the trollers of tRant... Regardless of how shitty Gus is, he still is the only coach sans Saban to actually win something on the field.

USF was definitely in the Big East when they beat us and they were certainly a major conference at the time...

ETA: they were not P5 or p5 equivalent. For Pete’s sake their football program was 10 years old at the time. They were definitely as bad of a loss prestige wise as UCf this year
