Jboy gets a pass because he brings in surprisingly quality interviews. His pimple headed posse and the recruiting insider act can go though. His show is successful though so he can determine the maturity of the show.

regardless of the great interviews, you don't get the swindler vibe from him? I sure as heck do. Something smells fishy with him.

I think when it comes to recruiting he is a fraud for gloating over an accuracy of predictions when most of them already had a consensus. His podcast is legit so he could and should drop the recruiting insider act.

I will give my insight as an "insider." I have some contacts in the Birmingham area, as in football coaches in direct contact with the top talent in the area. It is very difficult to get the truth out of 17 year olds. They will tell each person what they want to hear. So when someone gives info, I always take it with a grain of salt, but I do appreciate the entertainment. I don't like bashing people bringing conversations to message boards.

I like info being shared. Someone here in the last month posted something about Lassiter and it was well received.

I dislike when people rewrite known information and attribute it to themselves to promote their own interests. Especially the types that post about silent commits but won’t name them or make up random crap about a recruit, their family, or benefits they took from another school, etc. And there are a few of those right now.

It’s not about bashing him for being wrong. It’s not about him being wrong at all. It’s the overall act. He and his posse fish for attention on twitter with the normal “gimme 20 retweets and I’ll spread some dope information” posts but then disseminate next to nothing. I don’t like that love me clickbait as much as others.

It’s also about his beating his chest when a player commits to Auburn when the real insiders called it before he did.

His twitter profile bio is this:
“The number one source for SEC sports, 30/31=97% in recruiting predictions”

That’s pretty easy to do when a player that is “locked in” to Auburn is abruptly CBed elsewhere by the real insiders and he can change his prediction an hour later.

I won’t be bringing his predictions here but his podcast is pretty cool. That’s all I’m saying.

Hearing rumblings on a '22 Kid. Trey Washington from Hewitt-Trussville. Might be announcing a commitment tomorrow. Not calling an AU commitment but with him committing tomorrow possibly one of the big boys must have made a committable offer.

I expect when he gets his rating from 247 he will be a very high 3 star or low 4. He's a cornerback but I think he would be best at Safety. He's an athlete much like Iggy was.

Like I said I'm not calling a commitment for any school but sounds like a Pruitt kind of steal out of the state.

HT is not the deepest team this year but has some really good legit D1 talent. Trey Washington, Armoni Goodwin obviously, Omari Kelly, and my favorite Justice Finkley dude is a monster.
edit - have to add in Sean Jackson not SEC sized but whoever gets him will be getting a hell of a player. I'd say Troy or UAB.

Of course you have the younger Quick kid, Riley. Which is so overrated it's obscene. He's an athletic kid for his height but he's not even close to his brother and in no way should be rated at the 65th player in the '22 class.

I think we are only signing 2 this year but you guys know my opinion. Average recruiter average coach. We seem to always get WRs ranked in the 20’s to 40’s for the position. To be even be decent in the throw game we have to bring in more talent at WR. At least get a top 10 guy every couple years. A guy in the teens every year and then fill out the roster with the 20-40 guys. As I have been saying our best WR is a kid that grew up in Tuscaloosa that didn’t have a commitable offer from Bama that should tell you everything you need to know. All 4 stars aren’t created equal. Seems like there are 50 4 star WRs each year.

All I know if you look at the top teams they all have moster WR corps. LSU, Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma.

I know their offense has a lot to do with that but still...

Probably both to some degree. Leary and Mitchell were clearly misses. But at the same time we are only taking 1-2 and one has to be a slot type.

Deion Colzie
Malcolm Johnson Jr
Brashard Smith
Marcus Burke
Shadrach Banks
Latrell Neville

All guys left on the board. Banks is probably a longshot as he seems firm to A&M. Dawson could be the slot guy if he sticks at WR but I’m guessing he plays defense in college

We are looking at a few guys. Deion Colizie, Malcolm Johnson Jr, Chase Smith, still working on Shadrach Banks I believe, Brashard Smith, still talking to Latrell Neville I think too... I'm pretty sure I left some out, but we aren't close to panic mode right now. There are still lots of good players to be had.

Edit-Jones beat to to it lol

100% facts there. Kodi has done a great job recruiting WRs given the shitty offensive scheme he has to sell them on.

I land somewhere around here. Time will tell if Morris changes that any.

Lowest three WRs are Johnson, Jackson, and Canion.

Without them, the other 6 (left off Farrar since he was a transfer, and this doesn’t include recent departures McClain and Sheffield) average #23 in the composite and a .9420 rating.

The lack of top end talent there is notable but this seems better than we should expect given the passing game we’ve watched over the last few years

So that's stopped UGA and aTm? Their offenses are worse then ours. Heck even Ole Miss has recruited WRs better then we have. Clemson runs the same offense we do, exactly the same not oh theirs is a little different, nope it's the same. They get elite WRs. You know why they throw it 8-10 times a game more then we do? Because their WRs can consistently open. Never stopped LSU from getting elite WRs either and they ran an offense from the 80's up until last year. Same for Bama up until Tua came along. So stop with the "offense is the problem excuse". It's the recruiting not the offense. Craig didn't seem to have a problem recruiting elite WRs to the same offense.
