They are going to concentrate on getting the ball to the TE more this year, so I was thinking 5.

Lack of TE use in recent seasons to me has been a bit overblown. I got it when we had Lutz & Uzomah but not sure Jalen Harris is some freak athlete we need to get the ball too. But attacking the middle of the defense & having a redzone threat are definitely things we need to do better at & TEs fit that mold. Also it's nice to make everyone a weapon on the field so you at least have to respect them when they go out for routes
Personally I hope we use NCM more like we did with Duke in 2014 & some of 2015 as the go to 3rd down weapon over the middle.

Seems like the extent of our intermediate passing game under Gus, and increased use of the TE would certainly help with the development of a fully formed intermediate passing scheme.

I remember falling for the rhetoric last year.
This may finally be the season where we find out if Gustav is too stubborn to let his OC use all the potential weapons at his disposal.
