Feels good man
2-0, top 10 ten team. Yet, people bitching like we’re Tennessee. You see the same thing with Bama. Probably the most dominant team ever and still people dissecting why they aren’t good enough. It’s all pretty amazing. Thanks Cole.

I used to be Full POSI but I just can't this year. Our Oline is shite and our RB's fumbling issues are a fricking joke. I can forgive BO's performance because he is learning on the job.

Big difference between Bama and AU
I’m on the posiTiger side of things and me pointing out real or perceived weaknesses is not the same as bitching and moaning. However, I can also enjoy the wins and being in the position where we are. Because we are 2-0 and ranked in top 10 with all our warts. Says a lot about where our program has gotten as far as national recognition.

TBH, I haven’t seen many Fire Gus threads. More of people concerned about our weak offense.

I just hate the play calling. I hate how predictable it is, I hate the one read pass plays, and only having certain players come in for their one special play. We could win 10 games, and I would still dislike the offense and the way it’s run.

Because of the things you listed we won’t win ten games. Likely 8 maybe less. And that’s why a lot of us are bitching. Being 2-0 and ranked in the top ten doesn’t mean shite when you know what’s coming.
Cole can EAD.

I have always leaned sunshine, but Gus has broken me. And it would be different if he had never been any good. The fact that he has run some of the greatest offenses in Auburn history and now just can't get it done is beyond frustrating.
And to Cole, I just don't see anything different. We are in the same spot we were a year ago. Was Cole upset with folks last year? How did it work out?

I'm an optimistic guy but half our players were in middle school the last time we lost fewer than 4 games. Not many are discussing firing Gus right now, sitting at 2-0 and in the top 10. However, we are worried we are about to see more of the same.

Same here, until I see some real changes it's hard not to be negative.

Bama isn’t on the best run ever?

Clemson whooped them by nearly 30 in the CFP championship. Clemson is 1a now.

People aren't bitching like we're Tennessee. People are not getting their hopes up because we've seen this team play, and we've seen this story play out before.

Alabama is on one of the, if not THE, most historic runs in college football. Just because Clemson beat them in a single TITLE game, doesn't diminish in the least what Saban has done there.
frick you BTW for making me defend them.

Bama is on an elite run but I dont think “most dominant team” translates to most dominant run very well. Maybe I just read it differently. Fact of the matter is nobody has opened up a can on Bama the way that Clemson did, and they’re in the midst of their own run as well.

My hope against hope is that Gus is running vanilla stuff so that he doesn't put some things on tape for others to see. And perhaps Horton, Kim, and Harrell will magically turn into Berry, Pugh, and Isom, but I'm a little skeptical. I so want Gus to be better than I'm afraid he is. He's a good man and his players represent the university well. But Tennessee game last year depleted any confidence in him that was left....at least at this point.

Running vanilla doesn't mean your OL has to get dominated by Tulane.

I really hope Gus is holding back the true zone read offense with Nix for future opponents. Nix is plenty quick enough to effectively run it. He’s also built well enough as a freshman to take the hits. Nix is a capable runnner, so make defenses scared of his legs so that opens things up for our running backs and passing game.

We can't separate Gus' suspect play calling from the OL issues. We could have the Patriots OL but 5 guys can't block 7 and 8 man fronts which is what we're seeing. Running into the middle of that is an exercise in futility. Gus is doing a good thing by letting Bo throw so much to keep Ds honest. His completion % hasn't made them respect his passing game yet but that will come. Gus needs to open up the running play book.
