Can we talk about UVA's depth chart for a sec?

Someone hit me up with why these aren't at least moderate talking points (I get it, they've only lost three games, but still):
- (5'9") TF PG
- play only 4 guys between the 1, 2, 3
- one of those guys is the starting 4, who moves over when their 3 moves to 1 to spell the TF starter (per KenPom)
Like, it looks like Guy and Jerome are just never off the floor

In ACC play averages
Jerome: 32mpg
Guy: 35mpg
Hunter: 33mpg
In close games though, all 3 play closer to 35-40+. Kyle Guy has logged 35+ min in like 20 games this year

Dang, guess I'm reading KenPom wrong
Is that not still concerning, though? Or does their pace mitigate that a little?

In Sweet 16, they basically only played 5 guys. Elite 8 they played 6. The thing is, they control the pace exactly how they like to usually and they are in shape for their pace so I don't think depth is a huge factor unless we are talking foul trouble.

Bc they play an incredibly slow pace and are very disciplined on defense... keeps them out of foul trouble.

Everything I've heard from the UVA side is "We're not slow, we play "fast" for the entire shotclock"

Speeding up the pace vs UVA is near impossible

I believe a lot of teams concede constant intensity when they lose the pace battle. Teams just stop pushing it up court, allow UVA offense to walk the ball up court, don't apply aggressive ball pressure in half court
Many fast paced teams like UNC actually have poor depth. They can't afford to apply constant intensity of the pace doesn't increase to suit their style

Hoping for some magnificent flops then. Get those kids out of there.

we just need to be hot from behind the arc. If we can build a big lead, UVa won't be able to play that slow tempo style they like. If we can speed them up, we have them where we want them.

I know uva won almost all of their games but why did they so quickly fall out of the acc tournament in their second game to fsu? By 10.

I watched that game. FSU has some serious size. UVa got nothing around the rim that game.

FSU made tough shots and were able to rebound when they missed
FSU is absurdly big/athletic which helps

FSU beat UVA by shoving it down their packline D throat
We actually can exploit the weakness of packline if we can shoot tonight

I still cannot really believe we are in the final four, tbh. It still does not seem real.
I hope this team has two more upsets in them.
I don't think the stage is too big for our guys, and the game against KY gave me some hope that we could find a way to win even when we do not light it up.
I think everyone else posting here knows much more about basketball, but it has been amazing watching this team make so much progress.
I wish I could say win, lose or draw and I would be happy, but that is not true. But I will be thankful for a great season either way.

Another thing I heard Bilas talking about......UVa does not crash the board on the O side of the ball. They like to get four back trying to stop the fast break. It hurts our fast break, but it helps with them getting less second and third opportunities.

Don't know if AU has ever looked bad in shoot around
Bryce Brown would give Curry a run for his money in practice 3s

Before that, man, I remember sitting in that arena thinking "whoooo boy I hope we can score 10 tonight" on occasion
