These guys want playing time and starting spots. It seems this is like the same situation that we had with Harper and Devion Mitchell when they were only 1 year apart and playing the same position
What factored in Mitchell‘s situation is he didn’t expect Harper to progress as well as he did and Mitchell expected to be the starting point guard before his freshman year ended.

I haven't followed their issues. Was Miller tied to the Memphis investigation?

No (well maybe) but it has been long speculated he was in the mix for an NBA gig

I don't know his ties to any investigations but Mike Miller is a great recruiter and a closer. Big loss for Memphis, and certainly doesn't hurt AU.

Herb Jones is going back to Bama. I'd put their top 6 up there with any other team in the league

Hopefully Petty stays declared. Do not want them getting a 44% 3 pt shooter back

Most Auburn sources are saying we are a long shot. One says he wants Kentucky and is hoping they make room to take him.

No. He and Penny were supposedly butting heads some.

BTW on Both Gach.

That kid is long and twitchy, but just doesn't play hard all the time. That's where a different staff might make a difference. Kristowiak is a huge coaching a-hole and has had close to 20 transfers since 2016.

Gach is a great athlete. I'm no basketball scout but I'd take him even if he doesn't get a waiver. I'm a Utah Crimson Club member and live a mile from Huntsman and attended a half a dozen games last year. I saw him put up 28/5/5 and 2/1/1 with similar minutes. IMO that is an effort and concentration issue. I think he'd thrive with AU's staff.

You all be the judge. He is longer, more athletic and has a much better handle than Samir. He can play back up point minutes at 6'6", IMO. He can absolutely light it up when he's focused:

I like your case for Gach Alpine, but there is still always a risk with guys like that where no coaching staff could bring him out of his inconsistency.

Certainly a high ceiling, though.

I read he scored over 20 on Kentucky. He has game just not as consistent as Fig on O.

I don't follow Ute basketball like I should or like AU, but that UK stat doesn't suprise me. He was the face of the U program as a true soph. - mostly because of the aformentioned transfers. He was on all the literature I recieved. Those suggestions would come from the coaching staff, knowing what they thought the highest producing players would be.

Kristowiak isn't close to Majerus level a-hole, but he's close. I've been going to a half a dozen games consistiently since before Kristowiak. The impression I get is that players turn Kristowiak out by the end of the season.

That's why I think a player like Gach would thrive under Pearl.

I love Gach and love how he wants the ball when the clock gets low.
