Dan Wolken absolutely detests Bruce Pearl. Seriously, go to twitter and type in the search bar "@danwolken Pearl" and you will be amazed. It's not even subtext, it's text. He hates him.

Info on both LJ and Both Gach

McClung would of been a savior for next season. LJ would help, although I think he's limited in capacity. DO WANT Gach but I read he probably goes to the Big 10

I'd actually prefer Fig to Mcclung. Both Gach is a decent piece to have but wouldn't change the season outlook much imo.

I don't know. I think Pearl thinks anyone that can transfer in w experience and some game can change his team's dynamic.

In the 24/7 interview Pearl had with Evan Daniel, he really emphasized the need for a dynamic scorer and a veteran for this last spot he has open.

He mentioned that Cooper will be good on both ends of the court, but he knows Cooper will probably draw the other teams best defender, so if he can get that dynamic experience scorer on the other side of Cooper, then we could be really good.

So, I think Pearl believes the season outlook can really improve he can bring in someone experienced at SG...

Yeah I agree with Pearl. I just don't think Both is that type guy. Mcclung or Fig would be ideal though. Holding out hope for Fig.

No I want Gotch for 2021 and beyond. I wanted McClung for that lead scorer roll. I'm not as high on Fig. He's obviously an asset to any team but I don't think he's a guy that can drastically change your season.

I like GAch more too, w multiple years possibly available, but they are saying no waiver for him.

If Pearl thinks he can help next year, after sitting, then we still need a one and done for this year to fill the slot.

So you don't want another Samir type? That's what Fig is capable of & can make a big difference in a season like Samir did this past year.

Yup. Fig is a legitimate bucket getter.

He reminds me of Flanagan but better on offense.

Meh I didn't say I didn't want him. I just don't think he would drastically change our outlook like McClung would have.

We need points though and time is running out so I'll gladly take whoever we can snag at this point

He’s better than Mcclung straight up, and makes more sense than Mcclung playing along side Sharife

Someone forgot to tell Macthat when he dropped 24 on SJU. Mac is a better scorer shoots a higher percentage and most importantly has a dog mentality that can take over a game. He's off the board though so it doesn't matter. I will gladly take Fig, I just think some should temper their expectations on him.

Daeshon Ruffin, who committed to us for 8 days last June, put us in his top 6.

He's a major want for me. Fearless competitor whose game is somewhat similar to Cooper's but stylistically different.

When you are top 40 at 5'9, you probably are pretty good.

FWIW JHead from the bunker said on Brain Drain the other night it's not really running out yet. He expects some quality options to continue to emerge as guys continue taking their name out of the NBA draft due to their draft projections.

Doubt he's a major target anymore. AU seems to have moved on. Word is he seems to be an Ole Miss lock.

I was wondering if AU still had a strong want with him.

I just didn't see another top level PG wanting to sit behind Cooper for at least 2 years, who will only be one year older than DeShaun.

These guys want playing time and starting spots. It seems this is like the same situation that we had with Harper and Devion Mitchell when they were only 1 year apart and playing the same position.
