Chuck Person was kicked out of the Auburn program in October 2017, a month before Okeke had ever played a game at Auburn. Okeke was gone most of the summer at USA stuff too. I’m sure chuck worked with him some but I don’t think he deserves any real credit.

WBB team has lost 8 players to transfer. Does Greene still think Flo’s job is safe?

It was seven the last time I checked unless there was someone new that popped in the portal the last couple days.

It is safe by necessity unfortunately. If we did let her go we are paying Flo $1.8 mil to go. That combined with the economic uncertainty means that we would likely not pay much to get a quality replacement HC if we let her go now. Sadly we need to bite the bullet & keep her til the pandemic is over & the economy stabilizes for our athletic department.

7 since the season. 8 since the preseason is what I read this morning.

Another subject:

Corey Evans says Texas may not be the leader for Brown. Actually thinks Auburn may be right now.
Still thinks Green to Memphis.

Couldn't imagine traveling across the country to play for Penny Hardaway and Mike Miller

Where? I still only count 7 total including the preseason transfer of Primm.

Just an article I read:
LINK

Prior to Howard’s decision to enter the transfer portal, 247sports.com reported there have been seven recent transfers, including a preseason transfer of a top player, Crystal Primm, and six since this season.

Erin Howard is the one I didn't know about. With her that means the entire 2018 class which was ranked #13 by ESPN, has transferred out.

Auburn makes Top 8 for Ohio State transfer Luther Muhammad

quote:

Ohio State transfer Luther Muhammad has narrowed his list of schools to eight, he tells 247Sports.

Muhammad, who reeled in interest from more than 20 schools, is down to Auburn, Georgia, Alabama, Seton Hall, Arizona State, UCLA, West Virginia and New Mexico.

A former four-star recruit, Muhammad averaged 7.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists during his sophomore season. As a freshman Muhammad averaged 7.6 points and 2.7 rebounds, while shooting 37.5-percent from three.

Coming out of Hudson (N.J.) Catholic, Muhammad was ranked No. 79 overall in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

In the latest Corey Evans writeup he (as you can imagine) stays firm on Green to Memphis.

However also says this regarding Greg Brown:
quote:

but there have been whispers in recent weeks that Auburn has gained ground and taken the leader spot with just two weeks until his commitment.”

So like aubieinNYC said a while ago, nobody still knows where anybody is going.

My .02:
-Evans could just be hyping Auburn for Brown just because he appears so bullish about Auburn not getting Green.
-I didn’t give us much of a chance to get Brown if Shaka Smart stays and more than likely he stays. If we are truly in the hunt then that’s very impressive. Multiple members in Brown’s family have played for Texas.

Roughly 6 days until Green commits.
Brown commits on YouTube roughly a week later.

Agreed on your .02 cents regarding Corey Evans article.

Also, Okoro mocked to the Hawks with 3rd overall pick on ESPN. Would be huge for the program and would be cool having him in ATL.

Not saying we will land Brown but that's likely not why Corey is saying AU leads. There's word going around Brown wants Texas but his dad wants AU. If dad is in control of this recruitment as most believe that bodes well for AU if the info is true.

Including his dad which would be saying a lot if he prefers Greg not to choose Texas.

A heads up for Jang & anyone else who may want to know. There's a free message board on Rivals some of the bunker members use sometimes to discuss info out in the open. It's the James Madison board. lol

LINK

It's been removed now but there was a thread over there that was discussing some thing Corey had said behind a pay wall a few days ago.

E, do you know why that board exists? I somehow discovered it 6-8 months ago and was dumbfounded lol

Don't want him in ATL. I want him somewhere where he can flourish.

No clue. I think I'm the last AU fan who reads multiple boards to find it.
