One school followed five-star wing Isaac Okoro around the world recruiting him
quote:

Yes, really. “Most coaches were texting me the whole time like normal,” Okoro said. “Auburn was the only school that actually came out to see me play. That surprised me. They didn’t tell me that they were coming out to see me, but they were there. That was cool. I would definitely say that stood out to me.” . . .

. . . “After Peach Jam I’m gonna sit down with my coaches and come up with the next steps with my recruitment,” Okoro said.

“Bruce Pearl: Auburn basketball will 'probably have 1 more addition' to roster”
quote:

Pearl said Auburn will "probably have one more addition to the roster" before the season. While Pearl could not elaborate publicly, that addition would be if four-star 2019 forward Babatunde Akingbola reclassifies and enrolls in the fall. "I would think that there's a good chance we go into the season with 12 guys on scholarship," Pearl said.

"Right now, we're at 11. Then if we didn't have the 13th we would either keep it open through the semester or like we did a year ago with Pat Keim, be able to give it to a walk-on at mid-semester."

Not positive but I'd guess

4* SF Kobe Brown says he hears most from AU, OM & Minnesota according to 247. Loves AU's coaching staff & points to success last season as proof Pearl has already turned around the program

All the CB picks appear to be to Bama but he says they aren't one of his top schools

Seems like bball recruiting is picking back up

Per Rothstein twitter, Maui bracket is out.
First game will be against Xavier.
Second game will be SDSU/Duke.
The bottom half of the bracket is Arizona/Iowa State, Zags/Illinois

Anfernee McLemore, who suffered a dislocated ankle, fractured tibia and torn ligaments on Feb. 17, was fully cleared medically and returned to practice on Monday, according to coach Bruce Pearl. McLemore's recovery was expected to be on the earlier side of four to six months and proved to be the case. The junior center had been rehabbing and doing light workouts for several weeks.

CBSsports giving Auburn some love:
quote:

Given how good Gonzaga, Duke and Auburn should be in 2018-19, the streak should get to nine consecutive seasons.

Just-for-fun predictions
Quarterfinals: Auburn over Xavier; Duke over San Diego State; Iowa State over Arizona; Gonzaga over Illinois

Semifinals: Auburn over Duke; Gonzaga over Iowa State

Championship game: Gonzaga over Auburn

I'm not going on any limb in the quarters, but Auburn over Duke? A little daring. Here's why I like the Tigers as of now: Experience, frontcourt veteran play and improved guards. Duke is going to be talented but so young. Auburn gets Austin Wiley and Danjel Purifoy -- both of whom missed 2017-18 due to the FBI's investigation into Auburn's program -- back on the floor. Wiley's a potential NBA talent. Bryce Brown is back. Anfernee McLemore will be healthy to go. The Tigers are loaded. I'll take their experience over Duke at this point in the season. I like Gonzaga to win the event because the Bulldogs should clearly have the best assembly of talent, experience and coaching.

I don’t think he realizes that Purifoy will be out during the Maui tournament but a man can dream of Auburn beating Duke in basketball.

Okoro OANews

It's hard to quantify what this HUGE commitment means moving forward. The future is bright.. Looking at you Jaylin and Coop.
