This can only help with the perception of our program. I hope we can start locking down the limited amount of elite talent in state and drive a knife in the heart of UA’s program

It will. This Final Four and beyond shows that by coming to AU, you're not sacrificing any potential to be in the center of the conversation about college basketball.

We are in the final four and you are worried about a trash program
This mentality is why Auburn basketball has sucked for years.

Dammit, Luke, all your fault.

Let them have the in-state recruits. Lets go get the big fish.

This is where I’m at honestly. Alabama doesn’t produce enough quality talent to warrrant putting in a ton of effort. GA has exponentially more talent.

I mean we're in the Final Four and they just fired a coach. Who cares about them?

Anyone know why people are posting stuff on IG saying we lead for Cooper?

Dear recruit... can you shoot the three?

Kind of funny how people saw we are under talented, but Haroer was a .95 4*

Wiley, Chuma, Purifoy, and Spencer were all well recruited. Harper had the rating but his recruitment was really light.
I think most of the attention on recruiting has been in comparison to the bluebloods we’ve faced being perennial top 5 recruiting schools with stacked rosters.

In-State basketball recruiting is over-rated

Yep. These are the 4 that were actually big gets. And we don't get Wiley without the double legacy.
Harper's ratings started blowing up late in his recruitment but he was definitely on the "lightly recruited" side of things.

A lot of people believe Cooper/Okoro are close to a package deal
Au offered extremely early and been near perfect in the recruitment too

Yeah. My point is though the team is very talented. The narrative has been Bruce coaches up 3* over looked guys.

70% of Auburns minutes comes from guys who had no high major offers / 3* when they committed

A few 4 stars in b-ball is a talent disadvantage compared to the elite schools.

Plays more like a high motor 3*
Wiley plays like a 3*

He's done both but Bruce is the one pushing that narrative hard for obvious reasons. He's sold his guys on idea that they are overlooked and under appreciated. It's working
This roster makeup though is a great example of how teams that aren't blue bloods can be successful. Sign a handful of back end top 100 players who aren't one & dones but plenty good to be top players in the league and then fill in the rest of the roster with strong system fits.
Bryce Brown, Anfernee McElmore, Malik Dunbar and J'Von McCormick were all lightly recruited guys that have been developed and fit perfectly into Bruce's system
