Another NFL executive criticizing AU football. How dare he say our HS coach runs a poor offense.

Until Gus evolves his offense, it’ll continue to be criticized by scouts.

If only there was a way to measure offense using something objective like numbers.

Worst offense as far as translating skills to the NFL? An argument could be made. Worst for college football? Not by a long shot. Our passing game strategy needs to be tweaked, sure but even in its current format with the right personnel it can be quite formidable. At times its been record setting. Maybe if the NFL could get over itself as many people would care about it as they do college football.

I have read opposing views. Some scouts want raw talent so they don't have to retrain to the NFL team.

Such bold takes as in the OP are cringe worthy. Have to hate him for making me sympathize with Gus again.

Will not help with recruiting at all either.

Its so bad its managed to turn out multiple players that were drafted in the 1st round and a many others drafted in general... Why is that guy hosting a podcast with Adnan Virk instead of being a GM somewhere?

As long as he puts up numbers, who cares

Nobody was criticizing it in 2013-2014 when we ran everyones arse off the field.

If he gets back to what he is good at, they will shut up

They will still criticize and critique the players.

They did then with Greg Robinson, Sammie Coates, Shon Coleman, Tre Mason, CAP, etc.

It comes with the territory.

As fans, we realize it can be successful and all we really care about is wins, but wins can be hard to come by if other teams negatively recruit us.

In 2017, nearly 25% of NFL QBs came from only 8 schools. That’s 1 out of every 4.

USC
Michigan State
Wisconsin
California
Michigan
North Carolina State
Oregon State
Tennessee

Sure, AU can do better, but I’d like to see a stat that shows the number of QBs from each SEC school. Also, I’d rather have one high profile QB like Cam Newton playing than a handful of backups on NFL rosters.

Id rather them just win in college and worry about the NFL after. I get the recruiting aspects but you dont win anything for how many players you put in the league

You know one thing about the list of teams that made your list? Not one of them has won jack shite in college football in a long time

I’m with you. I care more about AU’s W/L record. I was just making a point about NFL and also the article linked in OP.
