Arkansas pre-game musings

I’ve had a week to recoup after that abysmal LSU game.

There’s been a lot of negativity on the board — Gus, players leaving, Stidham, etc. Today’s game is a lose lose. Auburn will likely curb stomp Arkansas. If we do, negas will say, “who cares, we were supposed to.” If it’s a sloppy game there will be another week of “rats off a sinking ship, fire Gus.”

This post won’t change anyone’s mind.

With that said, we’re still a top ten team with a lot left to play for. And football seasons come and go too quickly — we only get a guaranteed 12 games a season and then it’s over. So I’m going to enjoy it.

And frankly, the players deserve the fans support. Yes, people will say the coaches are letting them down, but they still show up and give it their best. That’s one thing Gus has always been good at, motivating our players even when things look bleak.

So downvote all you want, but I’m excited to see the young speed (Shivers and Schwartz), Boobee getting fed the ball, D Davis flying around the field wrecking folks and hopefully this team quieting all the doubters by the end of the season.
