Alumni update mailers

They got a hold on me on my phone, took 3-5 minutes but declined the $150-$200 package.

I got a few of the mailers. It is for the alumni directory that they ship out next year.

I called but they want you to buy other shite, of course. They're updating the alumni directory and are selling a hardbound and digital publication of all alumni going back to 1800s with some basic info, e.g. name, degrees, geographic location, marital status, etc.

"The directory publication will have a 16-page introductory section which features:
• Photographs
• Stories
• And an up-to-date history of the University

Then 260K alumni "will be listed in 4 sections:
• Alphabetically (Cross Referenced by Maiden and Married Names),
• Geographically,
• By occupation,
• And by class year by name"

I asked him why I would want this and he said "so you can see the other alumni in your area for gatherings, networking, aee where the people you went to school with now are, etc"

Guy on phone was genuinely nice and said this is the first time they're trying to print this publication in a decade. Idk if that's true because I haven't updated my shite in years, maybe ever, since I deploy and move around so much its useless to update; and since I was a damn Yankee student, I only keep in touch with a handful of people from my student days.

He also tries to sell you an alumni exclusive tshirt, sweatshirt, travel bag, ball cap (all arrive winter 2020) and the hardbound and/or digital publication due to arrive summer 2020. If you bought everything it's $400+ and they have packages.

I asked him to send me the pricing info. They had cheesy concept designs, but he stated the designs for the alumni-exclusive gear and apparel are not done yet.
