Anyone else feel the same way? I am just not terribly optimistic about this year - maybe if I were confident in having a decent o line, my feelings might change.

Nope. I dont have high expectations for this season either but I love college football and I will be pulling for Auburn regardless of the outcome

Id love for us to win a natty every year but there is way more to it than that

Im ready to see some boring A Day

I think our defense is going to be sick this year, but I share your concern. I thought we played better toward the end of the year on the O-line, but we always historically start slow, plus with a new quarterback and few playmakers at receiver, I'm not super hyped. Schedule doesn't help either.

It's funny, I want to care about our football team, but knowing the trajectory of our basketball program, we could lose 5+ games, and I really wouldn't care.

Obviously, I want both programs to be great, but I'm tired of building up my hopes only to have them be disappointed. I guess I'll say that I'm 'curious' to see how this season goes. Gus could be on his way out once it's over depending on if we have a QB or not.

I’ll be excited in August. Don’t really care right now. Wayyy more excited about next basketball season. But I do love college football and hope Nix or Gatewood can be the answer at QB and we can piece together a decent OL

A healthier Nick Brahms that’s had a year in S&C after his injury should be better. I think our Oline could’ve been so much better if the Center position wasn’t so awful last year. I’m not gonna say we win the west but I do see us beating some teams that we won’t be predicted to beat.

I think I’m just depressed basketball is done and there’s only baseball until football. It always seems like basketball is here again before you know it after football starts.

Yes. I haven’t even thought about Gus lately and it has been nice.

Bruce and AU is something special.

But I'm ready to see Gus meet his Auburn football fate, good or bad.

Same

For basketball, it's a mixture of sadness (losing the game, seeing Harper leave, seeing a thrilling ride come to an end) and joy (Final 4, building good foundation, etc.).

For football, it's sort of like "screw it, let's see what happens"

Yeah, I heard they were flying around out there, and we got a lot of film on some players and everything that goes with that. We've had some solid practices.

He doesn’t post often, but when he does, I pay attention.

Don’t do this to me. It’s only April.
