This guys is well respected, brings a new fresh look to the AD, and is not part of the good ole boy network. The fact that he is African American had ZERO to do with it. He was judged by his experience, not his skin color.

It will take him a while to make things happen, but we needs to raise money without raping season ticket holders so we can have:
1) Stadium Plan
2) New Football Only Facility
3) Better contract negotiating skills
4) No DAMN Clemson on the schedule (please play ND)

I think he can be fairly criticized for a lack of experience. I don't see a lot of marked achievement in the resume.

That said, he comes highly recommended from a variety of people in the field, so I'm putting a lot of hope in that.

Phone thing was funny

I like him so far. Will probably take some adjusting to get used to the spotlight he'll have here, but he's already pretty polished and seems to have some substance.

He got Jordan in Jordan Hare right too

Coach Dye lost his pants in Lake Martin, doesn't mean I want our new AD to as well...

I guess the white athletes will just have to connect with someone else

Maybe the white guys can buddy up with Tim Jackson

Regardless, that this guy, as a successful black former student athlete, is a good example and point of relation for our many black student athletes is not some screw job on white people. Guess what? As a successful former student athlete of any color he's a good example for the white guys too.

This clearly means he will be the best AD we've ever had

Hard to not like him though. Someone posted that he would win the press conference and they weren't lying. Obviously it's going to come down to performance though. Luckily for him it doesn't appear he will have to make any big hires in the near future.

I never in any way said it was. I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of the statement

I would agree and it should have been left at that. Not try to make is some kind of plus because he is black
