Was coming to post this.

Claude Allen Greene IV,[1] (born April 10, 1977) is the current director of athletics for the University at Buffalo.[2][3][4] He previously served as assistant athletic director for the University at Buffalo and the University of Mississippi. Greene attended college at the University of Notre Dame, and was a two-year starter on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish baseball team.[5] He was a ninth-round draft pick of the New York Yankees in the 1998 Major League Baseball draft, and went on to a four-year career in the minor leagues for the Yankees, playing for the Oneonta Yankees, Greensboro Bats, Tampa Yankees, and Elmira Pioneers.[5]

From Jay Tate
quote:
A clear leader has emerged in the search for Auburn's next AD. His name is Allen Greene. He currently serves as the AD at Buffalo, the university. He is from Seattle, played baseball at Notre Dame, spent four years in the New York Yankees organization as an outfielder. His AD career started in compliance, blossomed in development at Ole Miss (2008-12). He comes highly recommended by former Ole Miss AD Pete Boone, a friend of Auburn, and Duke athletic director Kevin White, who is universally respected. If you're looking for a way to get away from the Good Ol' Boy network, this is how it's done.

Sounds good. Better than hiring a CIO

Confirmed.
AUBURN, Alabama — Buffalo athletics director Allen Greene has emerged as Auburn’s choice to replace Jay Jacobs as athletics director, Auburn Undercover has learned.
Greene’s hiring must still be cleared by the Auburn Board of Trustees. Greene is set to become the second African-American athletics director in SEC history.

He’s not the leader. He is the choice. Has to be approved by BOT
He knows how it works if he was a key fundraiser at OM too

Seems like a guy with a decent enough track record.
Since I don't know anything about him, I'm happy to support him 100%.

This seems random as frick. What has he done as an AD that makes us think he is a good fit here?

Name me some ADs off the top of your head and what they’ve accomplished
Everybody is going to seem random unless they were already in Auburn. I know y’all aren’t going to complain about hiring a guy that doesn’t have AU connections

@DanWolken
Allen Greene is a very impressive guy. Across college athletics you will hear nothing but praise. Still a surprising choice for Auburn coming from Buffalo but it’s a bold, forward thinking hire.
