1) Hats off to Gus Malzahn. We were prepared, unfazed by the road environment, and ready to play in all 3 phases. Doesn't mean we don't have work to do, because we do, but we were prepared and we look like an SEC power.

2) I've been watching Auburn football for decades and this is the best tackling team we've ever had. They just do not miss open field tackles very often. Smoke missed one on the TD catch but that's the only 1 I can remember.

3) Pun t coverage is much better. That shows that it's not just coach-speak in terms of improving each week. We are significantly better in special teams than we were 3 weeks ago.

4) Best D-line since '88. It is so fun to watch Derrick Brown play football. That dude is a grown arse man. He is raising the level of play for everybody up there. Only caveat is Big Kat Bryant. Dude needs to get off blocks.

5) It's hard to imagine how fast Anthony Schwartz is. Two A&M guys took an angle on him and completely missed it because of how blazingly fast he is. We are a different team with him in the lineup.

Good review.
6) no turnovers.
7) sweet feet Christian Tutt can change a game.

8. Bucks and DEs should be conditioning for days.

9. Impressed by the consistency of play by the back ups on D. We don't see much drop off.

10. Liked that we had multiple RB's involved.

11. Seth played big.

No it’s not. We rushed the passer maybe 7 times yesterday despite their 52 dropbacks. And a few of those 7 was because of generated pressure

It’s fricking great watching Derrick Brown work. He doesn’t = DL though even though the majority of the DL stats are his.

It's a pretty good DL...I'll leave the speculation for ya'll.

The DL had 7 TFL, 7 QB hurries and 3 sacks yesterday and another 5 pressures. That's really good, especially when you consider the vanilla base packages we ran the entire 2nd half.

1. Good job, Gus. He pulled out all of the stops and his playcalling was unpredictable. Joiner got carries, Gatewood passed to a TE, it was insane.

2. Nix needs to play better. The true freshman excuse won't fly after a loss to LSU or UGA or Bama. Time to grow up and hit those big plays. His numbers through 4 starts are very similar to Sean White's in his first 4 starts. It's time to live up to the hype.

3. We have to figure out a way to run the ball. Gus gimmicked some yards against A&M (sweeps, reverses). OL needs to play better in quarters 1-3 like they have in the 4th. We also need a RB to take the job and run with it. I feel as though Gus is giving everybody a chance to beat out Boobee.

4. Big Kat trying to be sharp and time the snap count costing us 4 offsides is ridiculous. I hope Garner cussed him out all the way home from Texas.

5. We need to be more disciplined in zone coverage. When Mond was picking and popping us quickly, that neutralized the pass rush. I saw 2 instances with Pappoe and Davis where they tried to jump the wrong route instead of staying in their zone.

Overall it was a good win against an average A&M team. Need to build off of it. A complete offensive and defensive beatdown of Piss State on Saturday would be nice to see at home.

The DTs had 4 out of 7 TFL, and all 3 sacks yesterday.

I know for a fact that Britt and Wooten had a TFL each as well. Stop trying to convince yourselves that our ends and bucks played well. Stats and game tape show minimal impact other than hefty amount of boneheaded penalties.

TT's sack was aided by both ends collapsing the pocket. Stop trying to convince yourself that the DL isn't playing well. Nobody said they played perfect, etc...it's crazy to ignore the things they are doing well and only see they issues.

Not directed at you hang, but one thing teams have been doing to us all year is quick passes to neutralize our DL. You saw that when T3MU had to drop back later in the game, we were getting him.

How is it that I keep talking about DEs and bucks and you keep jumping back to the whole DL?
Does part to whole mean any thing to you or are you intentionally trying underhanded shite to redirect the argument?

Their issues are more frequent and made a bigger impact. Sorry for partying?

1 - Running game picked up later in the game. Was nice to see

2 - No turnovers for Nix. Very good

3 - Team was prepared and did not panic. Great road win

4 - We need a pass rusher. A Dee Ford type. Most of our pass rush comes up the middle.

5 - Had some some nice gadget plays in there. Was nice to see a few new wrinkles. Makes me think Gus is getting more comfortable and will keep churning them out all year

1: Never thought we were going to lose the game
2: had lots of Makers
3: woke up and took the boy fishing.

That's all I've got, and I'm pretty good with that.

They need to pick up the pass rush, but that’s the only aspect that’s lacking. The ends usually do a fantastic job of setting the edge on runs and containing the QB. We are a Jeff Holland/Dee Ford type rusher away from GOAT DL territory.

That was a nice feeling, at least for most of the game for me. Hadn’t happened too often against ranked opponents

Sure did. The most impressive play of the game imo was the TD throw and catch on the slant.

Bo threw an absolute rocket, and Seth went and got it with his strong hands. Executed to perfection and provided a big cushion for the rest of the game.

I agree and that’s all I’m saying.
