1) It's amazing how open Seth Williams gets when Schwartz has to be tended to. That is gonna pay huge dividends all year. Seth is a beast.

2) Props to Gus for the way he has handled Bo to this point. He brought him along perfectly and he us really starting to blossom now.

3) I so want Big Kat to be better than he is, but he doesnt seem to be able to get off blocks fast enough to be a speed rusher. I hope a healthy TD is an answer. We need a strong perimeter pass rush against Trask, Burrow, Fromm, and Tua

4) Roger McCreary is really coming on. He is a great open field tackler in addition to a good cover guy. Proves scouting beats stars

5) The move to put Steele on the sidelines was a great move. He is super dialed in, and his hard coaching of the 2nd and 3rd teamer will pay off big time.

Nice observations.

I didn’t have a chance to watch/pay attention to 3rd and 4th quarters. Were the points State put up more a result of 2nd and 3rd string D entering game or something else?

The main observation in an almost perfect game.......stop putting the ball on the ground. That will cost us a game if it doesn't stop.

Everything else was superb.

Their last 2 scores were against 2nd and 3rd stringers

I agree with everything you said except for 1 point...

Generally, it doesn’t. There’s a reason Alabama and Clemson are winning national titles year after year. 5 star recruits have a lot to do with it

Agreed. It's time for Big Kat and TD to start producing. We are gonna need them to make some impacts on games moving forward.

Roger McCreary is really coming on.

He had a rough game against aTm but he has been pretty solid the rest of the way. Still need the secondary as a whole to get better in coverage and make some plays on the ball while it's in the air. Tackling has been solid back there though.

The Offensive line looks to be coming along, especially running off tackle and to the edge. Still need more push in the middle. This week, those guys will have to earn their stripes against the FL pass rush. It is dangerous and the best they'll see all year probably.

1) Offensive line is performing at an elite level right now and it shows.

2) Bo Nix has made this team a national championship contender.....as a true freshman.

3) We dont have any edge rushers on this team.

4) Gus Malzahn has broken all trends this year. FG Gus? Four Game Gus? Run up the middle Gus? Foot off the pedal Gus? This has been by far his best year calling plays at Auburn.

5) There is something special about this team. I can feel it. We making a run boys

This has been the biggest surprise to me. When he committed to Auburn I just assumed he would be one of those guys that would never crack the depth chart

One thing stood out to me: Spencer Nigh. He had a huge game last night and was blocking his arse off.

Sal gets a big shout out from me. Dude couldn't catch a cold last year, except for the huge catch against Washington, and I can't think of a drop he has had this year. Just a remarkable turnaround.

This is going to hurt against LSU, UGA, and Bama. Someone has to step up.

I think this is being over blown. We are getting pressure on QB's, making them move their feet, and causing chaos in the backfield. Force a QB to speed up and good things happen.

The thing that stands out most to me is that this team has settled for 0, ZERO, NIL, ZILCH, ZIP field goals in the redzone the past two games.

No more FG Gus. Gawd that makes me happy.

I agree. We’re hurrying QB’s like crazy and we have good enough LB and DB play to punish mistakes. We’ll hopefully start seeing some more picks soon.

Now let me clarify, Big Kat and TD are not living up to what we expected out of them at the DE position. Davidson is a good edge rusher so saying we dont have any is overstating it. But we do NOT have a Carl Lawson or a Dee Ford or a Jeff Holland

Yeah by blitzing. Would you not rather have 4 successfully rushing the passer and an extra guy in coverage?

I’m just really happy that our main use of Carlson thus far this year has been kickoffs and not 50+ yard field goal attempts.

meh. He’s played in all 5 games and all of his sacks and over half of his TFL has come from the Kent State game. Only has one QB hurry according to CFBstats.com
