1) We're 2-0 which is nice. We are wildly overrated st #10.

2) Bo Nix is really something and yet again made a play on 3rd down to win the game. That pass to John Samuel Schenker won the game. That said he missed several run reads yesterday and his passing was not super sharp. A lot to coach off of and I think he will win us a game in which we are an underdog.

3) Running game has some obvious fundamental flaws (OL lack of talent) but I think Boobee could help by knowing when to be patient (which he has taken to heart) but also knowing when to hit it too. Several runs yesterday he "waited" when he should have put the hammer down.

4) Our receivers just cannot seem to get separation with the exception of Hastings. Even Seth never seems to get open, he's just good enough to go get the ball. Wondering what Kodi is teaching these guys or what routes we are running.

5) Derrick Brown is a man's man. Guy hustles on every play all play. He made a tackle way down field yesterday that exemplified his hustle and grit. I love that guy. A true Auburn man.

We aren’t going to be able to run up the middle until very late and even then it’s going to be inconsistent. Gus mentioned changing gap assignments so hopefully they keep adjusting that.

Boobee isn’t a good enough RB to live with those fumbles. Seems clear that DJ isn’t ready to go physically. Really need him to be against A&M

Defense is going to keep us in most games but they are not infallible. Still saw coverage busts and we may struggle on the outside against WRs with elite speed.

Kick coverage is horrendous.

Offense doesn’t work. Not going to work with any combination of QB, RB, WR, etc. with the way our OL is playing and the way Gus is calling plays. We may as well take a knee if we’re going to keep running up the middle for a loss. Maybe Gus was using a weak opponent to figure out different assignments there but playcalling was frustrating.

We have a glaring issue at DE. Zero pressure. Looks like we moved DEs there (I think we did).

Our DBs are just not explosive. We don't have any real NFL talent there.

If we truly had an elite DL, we could live on rushing 4 and allowing our DBs to set back and take shots.

We have a real issue at RB. Boobie and Kam are not SEC backs. We have enough data points now to see what they have

Nix is in his second game. I will give him a pass. However, if you take away the AU glasses, he hasn't looked good. He has got to calm his feet down. Those off balance high passes are gonna kill us vs a good D.

Well this just isn’t true

On another note, is NFL talent a good measuring stick? Holland and Deshaun Davis might not be NFL talent but they were damn good SEC players. I really don’t understand that talking point

I think it is a good metric for progression of the player, and development/evaluation from the coaching staff. It isn't perfect tho.

Daniel Thomas and Tutt are most certainly at least a mid round draft pick. McCreary probably gets drafted too.

A counter argument would be our lack of DL pressure is leaving our CBs on an island. With time, even the best CBs can be beat.

I’m sure the plan was more designed to contain. We didn’t want that qb to run around on us. The winning move is to make him beat us with his arm and not let him scramble.

DL pressure has been an ongoing issue. We generate a lot of pressure but half of it typically comes from DBs and LBs

Kam Martin and Boobie are NOT SEC caliber running backs and Gus has senioritist with our running backs.

Hard to separate when the DBs know all 2 routes.

I agree. Their QB was horrible throwing the ball. No reason to let him get anything with his feet.

Boobee would make a good second RB provided he learns to hold on to the ball.

Joey is the best running back on the team and it should be hinted that's his best chance for any post college football play.

Kick coverage is dismal to the point of being almost nonexistent. (... as duly noted by everyone ...) Not being able to flip the field is going to cause a loss(s) against an equal team.

The hurry up got up an left last night.

A good SEC stocked DL is not going to fold in the second half like Tulane or a PAC team.

You’re making this conclusion off a game where the opponent threw for 103 yards and 0 TD’s...

This secondary might be the best we’ve had in awhile

Separation is all about route running.

If our route running was better they would get open a lot more.

Prepare to get downvoted, but you are correct. He gives the best chance to win a championship this year.

1. Disagree. We had guys wide open all night. Bo is a gamer, but he needs to work on his accuracy. Hopefully it is just jitters.

2. Our D is nasty at every level.

3. Boobee needs work on how to carry the ball.

4. Our punt coverage is a shite show. I do think dude gestured for a fair catch on that punt late in the game...but.just.damn.

5. I wish Gatewood would have thrown a pass or two. I am not much of a conspiracy theorist, but............

He said (and you quoted) “running back”.

And I’m betting we’ll see DJ this coming weekend.
