I know a HS coach in Texas with Texas ties that said they "pounced" on Pouncey quickly in part to get us back for stealing Chris Thompson from them.

I guess, but Pouncey unexpectedly committed late at night on the 6th after Domio and Thompson Jr committed on the 3rd & 4th and Tennison announces his impending announcement ( which, when I type that out, is kinda like CFB recruiting’s version of a promise ring) on the 4th. I think that same weekend either Dennis or George also let our staff know their intention.

Herman seems like a child so I wouldn’t put that past him but there was a clear rush by our DBs to get on board. I think the other CB is on board too and we don’t know it yet.

We'll essentially have 3 players for sometimes 2 different positions after this season. Seems likely we take a HB/TE in the class.

You’ll have to keep bringing this up. It doesn’t sink in around here

Was probably a combination of our opinions.

I will say this on Ojulari. It's interesting the LSU 247 reporters haven't made any picks yet since LSU is supposedly trending.

Literally my number 1 want in this class right now. Even with LSU considered the fav by most people I'm going to be upset if we don't get him. Hopefully the staff keeps recruiting him even if he does pick the corndogs.

The pretend melt over this guy choosing LSU will be glorious without your sincere feelings added to it

It’s been a while since we’ve had a solid miss around here

I mean I'm not going to be devastated or anything, but he's a guy I've wanted for a long time.

2021 4* ATH (DB) Brandon Perry has committed to Auburn. #6 in the state for the 247 rankings.

Only catch is that he apparently didn’t tell the coaches he wanted to commit. KN says don’t be surprised if they take it but this is a weird situation

I’ll follow along with E’s comments in that it’s weird for a suspected lean to LSU to be 2 days from committing and none of their guys have CB’d him.

This is another close race

I agree with that.. Thats why I hope the coaches stay on him regardless. I think we could flip him.

The DB thing is weird lol. You would think talking to the coaches and letting them know you want to commit would be one of the first things you do.

Edit- After a minute and a half a deep film analysis I'm pretty sure the coaches will be glad to accept his commitment.

Brandon Perry’s brother is ‘22 4* DE Khurtiss Perry, it looks like.

We’re rating kids 3 years out from graduation nowadays

Looks like Auburn is on board with it

247 (Free) 4* ATH Perry Commits to Auburn

AU has three 2021 commits, all from top 250 guys.

4* RB Armoni Goodwin (AL)
4* QB Aaron McLaughlin (GA)
4* ATH Brandon Perry (AL)

Definitely weird. What's just as weird is we usually have 1 of these situations in nearly every class.

Bulluck County is definitely better than what they used to be but they used to be Homecoming High. The school other schools scheduled for an easy homecoming W. They are 3A so competition isn't great.
