Gonna be a long year for softball, I’m afraid. We went 3-2 in Clearwater, but both of the losses were 2-hit shutouts to Baylor and Illinois, with Baylor being a run rule.

He was a great stick. There is no denying that. You couldn't hide him in the field though.

I actually went back and looked and he kind of struggled last year.

I was going to add that I would take a .275 hitter who has a glove, but he didn't even hit that last year.

IIRC, .258 with a .388 OBP.

I don’t keep up with much baseball, but I remember he was a clutch hitter in the postseason. He also had devastating errors, so his impact was basically push.

Yeah, he had a bit of a sophomore slump. But his bat was still the best on the team.
