Trust me, it drives me bonkers we have only signed 8 high school OL in nearly 4 full classes now instead of the 17-18 our rivals Bama, UGA, & LSU are doing.

Which is why losing that moron in charge of roster management to GaTech is not an issue.

Are we still doing that dumbass 6th OL man for when we have an injury or are we actually trying to develop a 2 deep at all 5 spots?

You mean the dumbass shite that pretty much everyone (including bama) is doing when they direct snap to a RB?

No I mean, moving our LG to center and moving our center to LT when we had an injury at LT.

He has nothing to do with who we recruited, took, or didn't take on the OL or real roster management for that matter. His main job was coordinating on campus recruiting visits & whatever administrative stuff Gus wanted him to do.

Sorry guys, Im just very frustrated with OL recruiting. For petes sake, the very low number of recuits we do get arent panning out very well.

I hear all the reasons, Gus exit rumors (didnt affect other positions), Grimes cant recruit (our coaches have territories right) I understand the recruit has to bond with the position coach but Grimes does have help schmoozing, and he is a good tactical coach. All other positions are fine (LB may be short but its not like the cupboard is bare).

We are three four years from having a two deep, at this point to man a two deep, two or three of us would probably be drafted.

We are all frustrated with OL recruiting. We HAVE to nail OL recruiting next year.. Clem, UGA, Bama all cleaned up this year. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to pitch need and depth chart to recruits. I'll even go as far to say that if we don't have 1 or 2 big time OT commits by early singing day next year then Grimes has to be out.

Grimes should've already been out. He's gotten blanked on the recruiting trail.

Hopefully someone knows more than me.. but Didn't Horton help recruit OL in addition to RB? Or did he just have his region?

Who is Richards' lead recruiter? It's not Horton is it?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but this was the best OT cycles we’ve seen in a while. It doesn’t get better next year. Some are predicting it’s actually one of the worst OT classes in a while. Which is also why you see undergrad and graduate transfers being considered.

Like we didn't know this was going to happen. Peepaw can't recruit.
