Would be the perfect time to get rid of JB. We have zero recruits that would be effected. Early signing is over. Don't have a handful of commits or leans.

University of Richmond hasn't had a good football team in a while

OM homer Yancy Porter just CB'd Charles Moore to AU
Edit: LOL read his reasoning & he thinks he commits to AU only to flip back to MSST on NSD
I don't think he understands the CB feature

FWIW I attempted to calculate what a best case scenario would look like on 247 with 25 commits including Moore, Hampton, Richards, Fuller, Brown, Boykin, Bell, and Brothers and ended up with a score of 287.44 which put us at third in team rankings as things stand right now. I'd say that's a pretty solid ceiling all things considered. Of course Gus could completely frick it up and cause our class to implode but I'm trying not to think so negatively.

The class can't really implode at this point. Nearly everyone has already signed #silverlining

Gus needs to throw his own money at Pittman.

lol so Marcello CB'd Moore to AU
Also KN confirmed that former AU commit 3* DL Jamond Gordon will OV this weekend. OM is thought to be the frontrunner but it appears AU is still recruiting him

Why are we laughing?
He does very little recruiting coverage & very rarely CBs anyone. Just thought it was funny

So OVs expected this weekend
4* RB Jamious Griffin (NC State Commit) -> is he a take?
3* DB Jammie Robinson -> AU probably #3 right now behind UK/SCAR
3* DL Jamond Gordon -> Former AU commit, AU/OM battle, how badly does AU want him still?
3* OG Kamaar Bell -> AU/FSU battle, gotta have him
3* LB Octavius Brothers -> AU seems to be trending up

Less than a month from signing day is Bell the only OL we're getting?

For whatever it’s worth, a TCU 247 reporter posted on their boards that the schools showing the most interest in Hurts are TCU, Maryland, FSU, Tenn, and Auburn

Where did I say that? Expect some offers to go out & other visitors to pop up over future weekends. The five guys visiting this weekend have been longtime targets

quote:Yeah. I think KB is the only high school OL we add to the class. I think we take 1-2 undegrad transfers that sit out 2019 & be ready to go in 2020 a la Darius James & Austin Golson from previous years. I would also like to see us look for a GT Center that can play immediately. We HAVE to run the ball better up the middle.
We signed 2 in December

totally agree.
Even when Kim regained his starting C position, I felt we were still weak up the middle. Especially against strong DT or NGs, both of our Centers would get blown up or pushed back too much.

I can’t really emphasize enough how weak you become after breaking a leg. There’s a period of time where you can’t even do PT. You’re just sitting and seeing the surgeon every week to check in on how the leg is healing.
Brahms was scooting around campus last summer and was cleared to put full weight down just weeks before fall camp. And despite that he beat out Kim
Anyhow, I’m really looking forward to seeing him play after a full off-season of S&C. We do have the same issue should he get injured again

I think your comments point again to a problem w/ running between the guards.
We lack quality depth at C, because we had to play Brahms, who was still probably not at his peak, even though he was cleared to practice/play. Kim is adequate at best.
Our guards were not as strong as last few years. They simply could not road grade and give our backs much room to run through.
