Does not surprise me if Clark commits to Bama. Bama puts guys in the league and its an easy sell. Not for AU right now have to prove alot this year and hopefully we can.

Disagree with the idea behind your second sentence. Its not like they've become some bastion of developing unheralded guys and turning them into AAs. They're taking 5* guys that everyone in America wants and just letting them do what they've naturally been able to do since puberty. Then they get drafted and, mostly, suck once they get to the NFL. However since they're getting there, Bama can sell it. Bama has been dramatically more successful in having successful offensive players in the league than defensive guys. All of their star LBs but Hightower are flame-outs or busts. None of the Saban DBs have done anything special that he actually recruited. The two best Bama DBs in the NFL were recruited by Shula.

Everything you said is true. However, it is a great selling tool to a teenager and their NFL money hungry parents. It doesn't change the fact that Saban can say look at how high in the draft our kids are going from here. Can it be done anywhere else? Of course and does, but they are hustling that angle and it is effective.

We obviously can do and say the same, but recently we don't have a lot to hang our hats on. I believe that will change goiing forward.

It doesn't really matter what the truth about them is. What matters is the perception High School kids have of them. Right now their perception is they are pumping people into the League left and right.

The point of comments is that Bama has been putting alot more guys in the league than AU has over the last 4 years or so that's a fact that we really can't argue. Au cant really use "we put alot of guys in the nfl" angle to a recruit.

Also Weagle25 has a good point about perception. Like I said earlier, hopefully that will change.

DC post a series of photos on Twitter and included this one. Whoops.

Is this Marcus Davis?

It looks like Superfly and a skinny arse recruit, or DC fulfilling a special Ed students wish.

Clark DOWN to 45% from 50%.

Blake Bone is deciding soon, and we're a finalist with UK (leader) and USCe. I've never heard of him till today. I don't know about this. Surely, E can explain this one.

Dontavius Blair DOWN to 50% from 60%. Good news IMO.

from War Room, explains BBone prospect ...
quote:

That's surprising, considering Auburn hasn't extended a firm, committable offer, but things can always change. Auburn is interested in Bone and likes his skill set. However, the Tigers are only looking for one more receiver and West Palm Beach (Fla.) Rivals100 receiver Travis Rudolph and Suwannee (Ga.) receiver Myron Burton both appear to be coveted more by Auburn at the moment.

remember to summarize and not paste premium info. I have seen people get lazy with that lately. We don't want Chicken all up in our shite.

Yeah, I was lazy here.

I promise to mend my ways -- see: War Room non-verbatim bits on practice thread.

Per AUC, Ronnie Clark won't commit this month. He wants to visit each school at least once more time. He said he thought he knew earlier this month, but is not sure again. His parents are ok either way, but he wants to see how we play this fall.

Seems to me that's a good sign, granted we don't crap the bed on D. Maybe when he sees we have a converted QB at backup S, he might realize a player as good as him can come in and play immediately.

Sounds to me like he was leaning AU, esp after the unexpected visit then someone got in his ear. In fairness to the kid, I would wait to see how our D pans out before making a decision as well.
