Face it guys, what makes you lose interest in college football more than anything is the product on the field put out by the university of Arkansas.

It's probably a factor but I disagree that it's the main thing. Outside of the playoff games, I have 0 interest in watching post season games that used to be great.

Take college basketball in comparison, if Arkansas misses the tournament, it will take a little away from it, but I'm still filling out my bracket and catching as many games as I can. First 4 days of the tournament are like Christmas

Losing is a factor, putting out a bunch of kids that don’t care is a bigger factor. Don’t matter got paid.

The biggest factors though are: the destruction of all the rivalries by ever changing conference realignment, not having set rules for tampering, not having set spending caps (since this is jv NFL now).

I don’t give a frick about playing Mizzou on Black Friday, it should be LSU.

All of Oklahomas offensive linemen joining the portal at the same time, but no tampering? Everyone pretending like KJ is coming back, when he just needs his NiL deals to go away.

With no spending caps, there is realistically only 10 teams that can win the bidding wars, and I know it doesn’t guarantee a national championship (A&M) but combined with competent coaching and good culture it does.

This could be fixed if every post season game was a tournament game. Give teams bye weeks make every game before the semifinals a home game. If you want to do the bad boys mower game, set it up at Vaught Hemingway or Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Make the bowls able to pay players $10,000+ (more if you win) a piece plus what goes to the schools. That’s 85x2x$10000 or $1.7M plus what ever the schools make. It would eliminate the shite bowls, which is what we don’t want to see anyway.

More home games and more good games, less opt outs.

I haven't watched a playoff game in like 4 years. It has nothing to do with Arkansas being bad.

If I want to watch playoffs and players getting paid I'll watch the NFL which is a much better product.

A poster on 247 this morning laid out what he was told by an OL about what has been happening.

Cliffs:

Everyone loathed Kennedy. Everyone. He talked to everyone like shite and the OL room did actually stage a "it's him or us" mutiny to Pittman.

Enos hated Kennedy the most. He was thought to be intentionally sabotaging the gameplan to frick over Kennedy because they hated each other so much. Both pretty volitile. Whole team hated both. This falls in line with what Pittman talked about in pressers when he said practice wasn't being implemented into the gameplan. Enos was calling plays that he knew the OL couldn't handle.

KJ also doesn't give a shite anymore. He hot paid, bought a bunch of flashy shite and basically only socialised with 2-3 guys in the team and none of them are OL and he doesn't work with WRs.

Lost hunger. Lost drive. OL never helped him up after taking hits for a reason.

OL loves Mateos. Team still loves Pittman. But he clearly has bred a team that has zero leadership and no accountability and no true captains.

Hoping Bobby can come in an basically go full Bobby to fix that.

I don’t think I could draft a person like that, just drafting problems and paying them more.

2 seasons in a row he's lost control. I hate to hear that.

Assistants not gelling after given freedom to do their job, ultimately the head coaches responsibility.

That story also lines up with them playing inspired ball the week after Enos got the axe.

Also lines up with why the OLine was still absolute dogshit, even after the Enos firing.

And the thing is, Sam probably wouldn't have fired Kennedy of he hadn't been mutiny'd and/or imatructed to do so by the Board/HY/Whomever. And then let him walk to a division (formerly) rival. He probably even helped line him up with that job.

These are problems that I don't think Bobby can even fix. Because you're going to have players who don't like Bobby's coaching style and they go running to Pittman trying to time him down and then the locker room will continue to be splintered.

Good news is I think Bobby has way too much give a shite to allow things to ever get as out of control as things have the past 2 years. Since sam is the opposite of jimbo micro managing everything, petrino will have free reign to create the culture the program needs

But remember guys, the problem was we weren't running enough read option.

The more that comes out, the more I feel sorry for Enos. "Momma I made it" KJ and Kennedy made his job near impossible. Such a shitty scapegoating. Though if the playcalling stuff is true that's petty as hell and I'm not a fan. It is kinda funny, though.

Yep. Hard to read that and not come away thinking Sam's a bit of a pushover.

Neither was Odom but it's pretty obvious he was a huge part of the culture that was established when Pitt was new.

no but if enos had free reign to run the ship directly into the fricking ground by not even calling plays he practiced it’s clear Pittman isn’t going to put up any guard rails around his assistants. Petrino will be allowed to do whatever he wants
