That's what happened to us at the end of our Wishbone/ I Tight days at my high school. We went 2-8 the last year we ran that system. Switched to the spread the next year and went 11-2. It was amazing the difference it made.

From Chris Ash:

Says defense is getting better after five days. Stressing daily improvement

TQ Coleman and Carroll Washington, it's a benefit they are here early. They've been great students. They probably study the game more than anybody on the defense.

Linebacker - Everyone's in the mix. Every position, every player is in the mix. 'It's NFL Draft day.'

Myke Tavarres has done good things. Ways to go in fundamentals of playing linebacker. Wants to be coached hard. Learning to play with hands.

Davyon McKinney is getting a look at safety. They think he can help them because of his height and length.

Defonta 'is not with us'...doesn't say he is or isn't still with the team, we'll have to talk to Coach Bielema.

As far as language used on defense, they did very little looking back and only wanted to move forward. They have gone very slow with installation on defense. Not about volume, about teaching and learning. They want them to be strong in fundamentals first.

No-huddle on defense...not necessarily because they don't want to...just can't anymore with the offenses out there.

Hmm, Ugly Uncle retards quoted him saying Lowe is not on the team.

DeFonta Lowe is not with the team. Not on the team. -Ash #uglyuncleshow

Kid won me over with that interview. Will probably be one of the best spoken players on the team.

Scrimmage today from 11:15-1:15. Media is allowed in the entire time so we will finally get some first hand accounts of how everything looks.

Unfortunately practice got moved inside so the video quality might not be as good since it will be field level.

I know, I'm stoked to finally hear some insight on the new schemes and who is getting the playing time. Definitely curious to see how JWill is looking at RB and the LB rotation.

Defensive end Solomon Thomas of Coppell, Texas arrived in Fayetteville last night and is expected to attend the scrimmage. His sister attends Arkansas. He's rated the No. 88 prospect in the nation by Tom Lemming of CBS Sports Network and is being recruited by running backs coach Joel Thomas.
Linebacker Micah Thomas, 6-1, 240, 4.65 of Cedar, Texas Vista Ridge arrived last night and will also visit the Hogs today.

For the sake of Solomon, I hope Flowers and Smith dominate today.
