Bielema says he will almost certainly pick one QB and stick with him. Says a QB with "special skills" could get on the field elsewhere.

Sounds like it could be back to wideout for Mitchell

That is fine, better than the running back from Camden, can not recall his name off the top of my head right now, but Petrino was all the time talking about how talented he was and he just "couldn't keep him off the field" they were always moving him to different potions, RB, WR, DB, etc.

He never played.

Glad we all can help out. This makes it easier to compile info since we have no more practice reports.

D'Anthony Curtis. He even spent a little time at FB.

I'm thinking he could be talking about tthe Wildcat there with that comment. Both Wisconsin and Tennessee featured the Wildcat in their offensive schemes the last few years. Neither had a dual threat QB however. Mtchell, Duwop or even Derby could fill that role for a different look than just a skill player.

Yeah, that is him.

Petrino was always bringing him up during interviews and press conferences on his own, talking about how he stood out in practice and he just couldn't keep him off the field, yet he never put him on the field, it was a a huge "what the frick?" for me, unless he expected other staffs to pick up the name and waste time figuring out who Curtis was?

Of course the same staff did a good job of keeping Dennis Johnson off the field for some reason at times too.

Their use of DJ constantly pissed me off. I'm sure Broderick and Wingo are nice guys but their insistence on using the "power back" over a guy that could have really thrived if he had been given more reps was painful to watch at times.

Yeah, DJ proved he could play his freshman year against Florida, then we don't see him again until his senior year, for the most part, and Paul is using every opportunity to put Knile who is still hurt, mentally, in the games ahead of him.

So much for Feeding the Studs...

Most definitely. I wish they would replace them both though and bring in some new blood. They need some new energy on the blog in my opinion.

amen. they may as well have just plucked some random florida fan for edward's spot. they'd be as good (or better) of a writer and as unbiased.

A big push for us is that we’re putting six recruiters in the state of Texas. We have to be more than competitive in North Texas and East Texas for us to have a chance here at Arkansas. We play Texas A&M for the next 10 years in Dallas. That has to be a big, big area of emphasis for us.

There you go Texas lovers.

I will say that Petrino did suck at pulling kids from North and East Texas.

Who's territories were those you ask? Why John L and Bobby Allen's.
