Just finished watching Jamal Jones play on the internet. Finished with 31 points in a 84-80 loss. Money at the FT line.

Saw where Desmond Lee has 26 points, 11 Rebs, 3 assists in an overtime loss to Elgin Cook's team tonight FWIW.

We are pretty much out of it for Lee.

Unless something changed these last few days.

@Dedsports: Jamal Jones finished the tournament with 54 points in 54 minutes; 13-26 from the field, 4-9 from 3-point range; 20-of-24 from FT line

If jones has straightened up i am all for taking him. Kid has always been a great shooter. If he is the same Jones that got kicked out of Ole Miss then we probably don't need the drama.

Wasn't he just in the wrong place at the wrong time? Is a little weed charge the whole story? Don't know much about the kid, but id much rather take a chance on a guy gets high than a selfish locker room cancer. If the word is jamal is both, that's a prob.

I don't think that one time was the only time Kennedy had problems with him.

Depends on who the story comes from whether he failed one or multiple drug tests.

Really what it came down to is Ole Miss needed to clean up both their football and basketball teams from guys who were failing tests due to weed as it was becoming more than just a few isolated cases. I don't feel like looking up all the cases, but they booted off several guys from the football team, Jones and a couple other guys from the basketball team at the same time. It was getting to the point of a "lack of institutional control" with the amount of failed tests for them. JMO.

Supposedly he turned in his transfer request Monday.

Reason for transfer is the "system" doesn't suit his "talent".

School he plans to transfer too? UCA.

we could really use a jeff hornacek.
Of course, if Michael Jordan walked through that door, I wouldn't complain.

Dayum, summa y'all can be just plain damn MEAN.

Hunter is not the inside monster we hoped he'd be, but he was a project to begin with. Skinny as a rail when he got here.
I have seen him make a few good plays, and manage to block a few shots.

But he's right, he doesn't really fit this 'system'.

Doesn't help that nobody could get the ball in to him much (or Marshawn with consistency) this year because folks didn't have to step out and guard our 'shooters'.

It wouldn't matter if they did, he has no post game.

There isn't a need for a 6'10" forward who shoots nothing but fade aways, won't rebound, and doesn't play defense...

Not trying to make him a better player than he is, but...

5th on the team in minutes played per game
3rd on the team in field goal percentage, just slightly behind Marshawn.
2nd on the team in free throw percentage at .80 (not counting Wagner's 6-6)
3rd on the team for total rebounds, tied for 3rd for avg. rebounds.
1st in blocked shots
4th in steals
5th in points per game.

These stats were as of March 9th.

Mind you, this was on a pretty 'meh' team and doesn't count for 'intangibles' (hustle etc.)

Quite a few didn't contribute as much as Mickleson did.

He just wasn't what we 'expected' him to be, but he did contribute.

That is why everybody is digging on him. He is 6'10 for goodness sakes he should be leading by a large margin, not third on the team. He plays like he is 6'2 and a buck-twenty.

Hustle isn't in his vocabulary.

Mickelson's issue is a lack of confidence, you can see it in his eyes. Every time he touches the ball he looks like he's about to crap himself.
