I'm not going to piss my pants about mid 4 star in state recruits. That's realistic, not weird.

OK, you and I have been on the same page throughout this crap. BP with a decent DC, and NIL , being allowed to have the offseason to make the team his alone would wreck shop in the SEC imho.
However, if the plan is to get these higher rated Arkansas kids and develop them for years 2-4... Let's Roll... BUt you better tell em the truth to begin with, have the NIL to keep em as well. We have never been better than when Arkansas kids bought in. But to get truly excited, ,I am awaiting the portal... Will he suck, or not?

Yeah you almost have to recruit 4-5 from the state every year just for the culture, but I’d also hope these guys are willling to wiggle a little and take a little less NIL than someone of equal talent out of state would

I don't know. Speaking as an old fart, sure feels like our best teams had a lot of Arkansas kids on them. They will care more than the mercenaries.
I think it's fair to be impressed with RS's speed in getting these commits while also working the media, meeting the team, etc. He hasn't stopped for a cole beer.

I understand what you’re saying, it’s just not accurate. Landed 3 guys today higher rated than anybody we signed last year. So no, they weren’t.

It’s nice to have someone with a little passion and zeal.
One can never tell how a new coach is going to work out. I thought Freeze would build a beast at Aubie given his tendencies and Auburn’s love of cheating. I thought the same thing about Napier. Many others did as well.
Maybe we got lucky and maybe we blew it. But only time will tell. If I’m Aubie, Ole Miss, or Florida I’m not feeling any more confident than we are at this moment.

Being that you aren't gonna piss your pants over 4 star in state recruits, does that at least make you somewhat happy?
I mean shite, at least Silverfield is getting in state guys. That is one of the main things that every fricking Hog fan bitches about when it doesn't happen, including myself. Silverfield has to start somewhere. I feel pretty good about it and it is a good first day for him.
