Probably not much. Not sure the other staff put in much effort with the 3 we’ve flipped so far. Guessing RS has previously connected with them. So far I’m heard good things about how he’s tried to recruit Arkansas in the past from HS coaches.

Agree on the importance of in state kids. Happy to be proven wrong but Archer reminds me more of Kodi Burns than Ole Miss QB. Except I think Burns was a little bigger

The deal with archer is he was recruited starting in 8th grade, he projected to be 6-4 to 6-6 today and is instead the exact same size he was in 8th grade. This caused all the major schools to back off him.
If there is room in the QB room he's worth taking a chance on, but he may never contribute here.

Wild that all it took was one day for the instate recruiting rankings to shift so dramatically. Just goes to show Sam did not value them at all.
Nice to see the door shut on Mizzou. They thought they had a good shot at Beale and now we took Hodges too. Hopefully that ends their pipeline in the state for the foreseeable future.

I’m guessing Sam was doing jack shite the last 2-3 years and letting guys make calls with his NIL budget taking the easy route.
Does anyone even know if he was visiting kids the last few years?
We spent almost 12M this year and went 2-10.

I saw an article or video earlier, can't find it now, where he told the players, "it won't be easy, if you're looking for easy transfer to another SEC school and we'll kick your arse next year" Or something to that effect.
I like what he's doing with recruiting so far. Just hope he can back up the confidence he is showing.

I was not at all pleased we wound up with him, but the guy is working his butt off landing players. It comes down to how we do on the field of course but I'm not quite drained of hope now.

Nothing we can do but give him a chance at this point. Not a ton of reason to believe he will succeed, but sometimes coaches who don't scream great hire end up being great ones anyway.
