I think this information may become useful in the next week and a half as I'm already seen a vast amount of revisionist history being conjured up.
Using Rivals since that is the source most have used in the past and it seemed to go back far enough to an ample sample of data, back to 2002, I went ahead and added aTm and Mizzou to the data since they are now in the SEC and recruiting is a national competition:
The format is Year, followed by Arkansas' National Rank, then rank out in the SEC (out of 14 teams). The SEC teams have their national rank in are in order.
2002: 25th 9/14
#2Tennesee, #3Georgia, #6Auburn, #11Carolina, #15LSU, #17Ms.State, #20Florida, #23aTm
2003: 29th 9/14
#1LSU, #2Florida, #6Georgia, #8Carolina, #9Ms.State, #10aTm, #11Auburn, #18Tennessee, #28 Mizzou
2004: 27th 6/14
#2LSU, #9Georiga, #10Florida, #19Tennessee, #20aTm, #24Bama
2005: 24th 8/14
#4Tennessee, #8aTm, #10Georgia, #13Auburn, #15Florida, #18Bama, #22LSU, #23Carolina
2006: 27th 9/14
#2Florida, #4Georgia, #7LSU, #10Auburn, #11Bama, #15Ole Miss, #23Tennessee, #24Carolina, #26aTm
2007: 31st 8/14
#1Florida, #3Tennessee, #4LSU, #6Carlolina, #7Auburn, #9Georgia, #10Bama, #27Ole Miss, #33 Mizzou
Nutt's average: National: 27.16 SEC: 8th (Actually came out to be 8.16)
2008: 36th 10/14
#1Bama, #3Florida, #7 Georgia, #11LSU, #16aTm, #20Auburn, #22Carolina, #25Mizzou, #29Ole Miss, #35Tennessee
2009: 16th 7/14
#1Bama, #2LSU, #6Georgia, #10Tennessee, #11Florida, #12Carolina
2010: 49th 12/14
#2Florida, #4Auburn, #5Bama, #6LSU, #9Tennessee, #15Georgia, #17aTm, #18Ole Miss, #21Mizzou, #24 Carolina, #38 Ms.State, #50 Kentucky
2011: 22nd 9/14
#1Bama, #5Georgia, #6LSU, #7Auburn, #12Florida, #13Tennessee, #18Carolina, #19Ole Miss
2012: 34th 12/14
#1Bama, #3Florida, #10Auburn, #12Georgia, #15aTm, #17Tennessee, #18LSU, #19Carolina, #29Vandy, #30 Ms. State, #31 Mizzou,
Petrino's average: National: 31.4 SEC: 10th
I didn't bother to add where the SEC teams finished in the rankings past Arkansas unless they were within a couple spots in the rankings, I only did so as withing a couple spots I think we could all agree is pretty interchangeable. While doing this the only thing that really stood out was the only team Petrino consistently out recruited in the rankings was Kentucky.
I only did this as I'm tired of reading that Long fricked us over in recruiting this year by either firing Petrino or by hiring JLS since everyone who says this is basing it off of these rankings. I believe by the time the final rankings are said and done after NSD we will see that Long's decision had no effect on recruiting as far as the rankings are concerned in comparison to Petrino's work on the recruiting trail.

But I'm not fricking reading that.
I got to line 3 and got a headache

This thread makes me sick.
One could misconstrue that HDN was an overachiever. That's some really piss poor recruiting we've seen ever since the internet age.
Bielema could leave here as the greatest of all time if he can get our recruiting perenially in the top 15.
eta: thanks for putting that together to provide a bit of levity while recruiting is bout to get crazy in this last week.

Tried to clean up the formatting a little, sorry, I'm jotted down the notes in notepad and copy/paste.
Use to large blobs of text, didn't think about how hard that would be to read/follow.

It's not all your fault....
Window tinting guy pissed me off about an hour ago...I just want the store front windows tinted...that's all...I don't need to know what it's going to save me in energy costs, or if someone's wants to punch in my glass it doesn't shatter.
I just want my windows tinted ASAP. I'm not looking for a deal, I'm getting fricked either way.

I think sometimes people try too hard.
I just wanted an estimate and a dark tint, not a 30 min spill on how tinting the windows will keep away burglars, limit the heat brought in, limit the air let out, etc.
If I want to keep burglars away, I'll put up some security system sticker. Not by some super duper window tint.

I would agree with this.

Will not take a toll at all.
It's why I never got the fans clamoring for a hire in April saying we will lose two recruiting classes.
I'll be happy with 20-21 signees this year to be able to Singh 29 next year. Load up on Olinemen this year, load up on everything next year.

I'm there with you. No sense in taking 3 or 4 marginal players when we could use those spots on 4*'s in the next class.
Sign another 4 mid term juco guys (Jalen Cobb and the Fairview kid that killed it at Coffeyville, maybe Cousin Vinny) and we'd still have a full 25 left with a year to work on top end athletes.
