It's certainly worth keeping an eye on. After all, we just fired a guy who wins 66% of his games and put the youngest team in the country on the court this year.
It may not be as appealing a job opening as people expect. Especially considering college basketball is falling apart around us and the guy we just fired won at a high clip doing it cleanly.
The job may be especially unappealing to the coaches who are violating the law in their practices because Anderson's shoes start looking awfully big to try and fill.
I still think we can hire ourselves someone good, but boy howdy will it be bad news if they frick this up.
ETA: But don't worry, what could go wrong? After all, this is Hunter Yurachek's 13th time hiring a basketball coach to an SEC program.

That's understandable and normal but it's the PMPTSD that I find a little unnecessary.
Please know I'm not referring to you or anyone that's just being a regular amount of anxious, I'm talking about the pure pearl clutchers. And wow if we hire father Pitino- not saying I would hate it but I used to hate him so much 20 years ago so it would be strange.

I've heard this a million times on message boards but never from an actual media source. Seems like that would kinda be a big point to make from the get-go when forming a timeline on when to expect an announcement.

I do believe that's state law. So it isn't time to panic yet. But I am still worried about it.
The problem is that any coach walking in Yurachek's office right now has a tremendous amount of leverage. If it were me and I weren't from Arkansas I would say, "OK. Let's see how much Calipari makes. That's who you want to compete with right? Let's start talking at 9 million."
Firing Mike Anderson has a very real chance of blowing up in our faces.
Oh well, we deserve it.
