He's not really my top candidate but after 7 months of this I think I'm getting delirious.

Richard Davenport ?@ArRecruitingGuy
Arkansas AD Jeff Long spoke to the Hog FB players at the 9 pm meeting and told them Arkansas would have a new coach in 10-14 days.

Updated with ALL coaches who have completed their regular seasons gone as it appears our guy is still playing.

Solid list. I would be perfectly fine with any of those guys.

I'm shopping and working

Last rumor I've heard is Petersen but much like Gruden, I can't let myself believe it.

Probably full of shite, but there are some not so subtle hints on woopig (a place where people don't make shite up to get attention) that it is someone from the ACC (Fisher or Golden).

My take? Nobody freaking knows. We're just gonna have to wait and see who is hired.

Ok you want a new rumor here is what i was told this morning by a long time friend.

His father in law knows a member of the BOT and he told him that the hire was made a couple of days before the LSU game, that he was not allowed to give out names but to trust him that everybody should be pleased.

Not much but i don't expect much to come out right now.

Fisher would be a out of left field hire that Jeff Long likes.

Golden doesn't fit our time frame.

Very true, though I wouldn't be too happy with the hire. FSU has underachieved big time with top-notch recruiting. Can't see him being a huge success HERE with much less in terms of recruiting benefits.

How so? They're done with their season. Just because Long may not announce for 10-14 days doesn't mean he's not focusing on a coach whose season hasn't already ended (sans bowl).

Between the 2 of them I think I'd prefer Golden.

There really isn't a reason to wait almost another two weeks for a guy who's season ended last weekend.

Give or take 10-14 days to finalize a contract?

Likely no contract talks until after the season is over for any coach, can agree in principle but there's a lot more to contracts than just that.

My guess.

The job has to be posted for 10 days, because it is a state job.
