I saw something on MLB.com the other day that had Pallette #9 and Moore #13 overall prospect.

Wiggins is a 1st Round prediction for the '23 draft as well in some sites.

Wallace has also been a 1st or 2nd projection as well for the '22 draft.

If Battles comes back from surgery stronger and has a good offensive showing, he's a top 3 round talent.

The talent on this team is absolutely insane. If we struggle, it will be in the bullpen. Matt Hobbs better earn that paycheck this year.

Dude's already on paper thin ice as far as I'm concerned. If we struggle on the mound this year I'm ready to move on.

Lykes took one step and stood maybe 2 ft inside the 3 to make a long arse two. Is he too small to shoot 3 ft further?

Lol thought this was the basketball thread.

Honestly, without Kopps, we were likely barely a top 25 team last year.

Not really. We had the best offense in college baseball. That alone is top 10 worthy. We will probably have the top offense yet again. It has been our linchpin the past few years.

Pitching is always the question mark. Outside of Pallette, there really isn't anyone proven to be a quality starter. Wiggins, Hagen Smith, Heston Tole all have the talent, but haven't proven anything as far as weekend starter status in the SEC.

Like said before, Matt Hobbs will have to earn his paycheck this year. There is plenty of arm talent, but can he get the guys to put it all together?

Man did the offense disappear coming down the homestretch though. Slavens and Franklin turned into strikeout machines. Really hope the offense gets its mojo back, especially with the new guys coming on board.

Agreed. They need to do something about just regular base hitting and upping those BA's some.

It never really disappeared. We were streaky all year. We wrecked NC St just one game before they eliminated us. Most of the year we would come blazing back at the end of games to get the win. Finally bit us in the arse that last game.

I had to go watch that Welch HR against Neb again after opening this thread

That is the opposite of the way the game is trending. It’s all about launch angle and exit velocity. Swing as hard as you can and hit the ball in the air.

Look at the increase in strikeouts and no hitters being thrown in MLB.

D1Baseball has our starting rotation as Pallette-Wiggins-Smith with Gabe Starks the first out of the pen. Interesting.

Hopefully Wiggins has developed some movement on his fast ball. That flat heater will get taken out of the park in SEC play.

Yep, I'm not sure I've ever seen a dude with an upper 90's fastball get consistently squared up more than he did.

Hopefully, Starks has learned to speed up his delivery. He has the stuff, but he'll get bags swiped on him left and right if he hasn't done anything about it.
