Providence is a damned good team ? What game were you watching ? That team had almost no talent compared to us. The SEC has just past us by in recruiting and coaching. This Providence team couldn't beat Vandy. Lots of crappy teams get in year after year bc they play in crappy conferences. Means nothing. I'm glad we won last night. But we may as well have been playing against southwest texas state university for all the talent Providence has....

Sorry I’m not gonna fit your narrative. We’re gonna lose half the guys who contributed last night with him at the helm next year

So you're talking shite to the Mike haters by propping up a win against an atrocious opponent as a FIVE seed in the fricking NIT? That's bold.

No. I'm not talking shite. I still think Mike needs to go, but Providence is far from "atrocious".

They had been to like six straight NCAA Tournaments and damn near everyone in the country expected Providence to win that game going into it.

I'm not talking shite, I'm trying to keep the discussion honest.

ETA: Providence didn't shoot the ball well? Guess what? That's part of the point of running Mike's system. You get the other team out there and turn them over a bunch of times and you get in their head. They panic. They don't hit shots.

Providence played a bad game. It's a discredit to them and a credit to Arkansas for handling business on the road.

You guys remember earlier in the season when some of y'all used to run around here saying Mike can't win in the road? frickin ridiculous.

Yeah the Big East is still propped up from back when they were the best college basketball had to offer. That conference has seen better days. Did you watch Marquette play ? They also looked like they were running in quicksand... This Arkansas team (especially with Gafford) would probably finish in the top 2 in that conference... The SEC has really improved. Arkansas has failed to keep up. Mike has got to start being prepared for kids going to the league...Maybe on paper it looked like a great win, but the reality of the situation is obvious. Providence was slow, couldn't shoot the ball and ill-prepared for the kind of speed Arkansas put on the court. Any win is a good win, especially in post season play. But this one did NOT impress me. Beat Indiana without Gafford and that will impress me.

Well, one thing is for sure...If Arkansas can beat Indiana in their gym with Ethan Henderson at the lob dunk option, I'll be very impressed. I mean, it took a shot at the final second to get past them in our gym on one of Gafford's better nights. (I wonder too if maybe there were some chemistry problems with Gafford, but biggest thing I noticed the other night is that without Gafford on the floor the other guys attack the hoop more often, which is a good thing. Gafford being out allows us to space the floor better and dribble drive more often.)

If Arkansas can beat Indiana on the road tomorrow maybe people will have to admit that Mike does more than just "roll the ball out there." but they probably won't.

They'll probably just try and tell us all that Indiana is a team loaded with bums and that their coach sucks despite being regarded as one of the best coaches in the game.

Mikes biggest problem isn't his coaching.. Its his recruiting.. Now he does have problems with his subbing patterns and he will let a team score over and over on us while we double team the wrong guy in the wrong spot time after time. I wouldn't call Mike a horrible coach. He's ok. He just makes the same dumb mistakes. And his recruiting is shite. Beating Indiana on their court will be impressive regardless of how bad Indiana is. It will indicate some growth without Gafford and thats a plus. But Anderson is NOT a top 25 coach. Arkansas deserves better.

Osu whatever is the worst player I've ever seen play significant minutes or the Hog.

And that's saying a lot with Pelphrey and the late Nolan crew.

Sills was warming up and Mike pulled him. And closing out the half we have Gabe and Bailey on the floor at the same time !!! Mike is just lost.

Needed a three and Mike draws it up for the worst shooting guard we have. Wow

I have no idea what they are drawing up and I don't think they do either. Just watch them. Earlier I saw TJ appear to be recommending a play and Mike deferring to something else. Honestly they both look about as lost as Bert did. Needless to say we came out of that timeout and laid an egg. Time for Mike to go. He is NOT a top 25 coach. He should be coaching high school ball.

Nothing wrong with not thinking that he's a good coach... It's the dumb shite that's posted that's annoying
