Poor Shaddy. He’s going to live on forever in infamy.

Big day for the women. Let's see if they can pull away from the pack here.
As for the men... well... we didn't finish dead last. I'll take it.

Yeah, sorry I didn't update last night, wife's birthday. Updated OP with a video of that 4x4. Woo Pig!

And in dramatic fashion on the final event to boot!

A strong second place finish to boot. Our girl was reeling in the A&M runner down the back stretch. A head's up veteran run by our squad there. They ran a smart race and brought home a national title. Talk about being clutch.

As I posted in the OP, all Razorback men's teams can learn something from these ladies. Like how not to be relentless choke artists.

Updated OP with National and Regional rankings. Woo Pig.

I saw some tweet a week of two ago from the XC account touting their 3rd place in the SEC preseason ranking. That was slightly I infuriating to see them actually promoting it as a great thing.

For sure. The better tweet is the 1st in the South Central Region and the reason why is, is that the SEC Championship is largely ceremonial wheres winning your region guarantees you going to Nationals. But yeah, dumb.

OP updated but there's not really any action to talk about until this coming weekend. The rankings have not changed.

25th.
I realize the cross country team fell off long before McDonnell retired but damn not that much.

They were around the top 10 even a few years ago.
He's tanked the entire program.

I post the rankings for fun but in the end it won't matter. We'll win our regional and go to nationals and most likely finish top 10. Qualifying for the national meet is incredibly unfair to strong regional conferences and we are in the easiest regional conference. But I do agree with you guys, we should be higher. Hopefully they peak at the right time and surprise some people in Indiana this year.

Always my favorite course to run. Devils Den was fun too but there was just something next level about the Chili Pepper.
