He deserves one more freebie and then he should be held accountable for mediocrity. He's only won 1 more tournament game than John Pelphrey did in his 5 years.
Patience will be key this year, pundits are picking us to finish from the middle to the bottom of the SEC.
Edited to say: middle to the bottom, since I’ve seen us ranked as high a 6th and as low as 10th in the SEC.

Tournament 2 of the last 3 years, getting out of the first round in both, and finishing top 3 in SEC.
I'd say that is good progress myself.

It'll probably be another 25+ win season and we will probably still hear the same shite after the season is over.

I can see this team making a sweet 16ish run this year. I think the X factors are Bailey and Jones. If they can show progression from last year and keep our freshmen bigs from having to play a ton of minutes early this team could make a run at a SEC title. If not then we could struggle early. We are experienced in the back court and that usually translates to wins.
I'm kind of liking that we aren't getting over-hyped right now.

I think we are all going to enjoy watching Gafford finish around the rim.

Gafford reminds me of Kevin Garnette.

Any why do it right before the season starts? Can we not have a valid reason to be sour/depressed/pissed at our teams before we get sour/depressed/pissed at our team?

He has also won more games than any other SEC coach except Cal over the last three years.

I think the value of Beard's weight loss is going to be huge.
Should be a lot closer to his freshman year and will be a heck of a veteran guard.

I can't even express how big a deal it is to have three seniors in your back court. Especially when two of them are sure fire NBA level talents in Barford and Macon. Those guys are going to play a whole lot better this year, all three of them.
Hogs figure to be pretty damn good by anyone's standard this year.
