That is why Chicken needs to install a PM feature on here. I used to be in the business and wanted to see how things were going.

Yea.
Been with Landstar for a month. It sucks, looking to make it a stepping stone ASAP. My %'s are BS, and all the owner/operators are too damn picky on loads, they have to have 3x the rate larger corporate carriers can run at.
I hate the constant lowballing and bullshiting. Last week I brought on a new shipper, $120K contract 40 loads at $3K a pop for 850 miles over $3.50 a mile, so a pretty good load, and my goddamn boss goes in and tries to backdoor me on it. Even with the fuel surcharge deduction on all of those loads my commission on them with Landstar is just over $3K. frick that nonsense. I had to waste 2 whole days going back and forth getting paperwork, signatures, applications, credit forms, blah, blah, blah all for 3%... not worth it man.
However, I have been looking hard at partnering with a trailer windskirt manufacturer and selling advertising on the skirts and supplying truckers with free skirts for running them with our ads for 2 years. If they already have the skirts then cutting them a quarterly check for the ads. I've got a contact list for most of the Fortune 1000 companies from when I did event marketing and print ads.
But hit me up, I'm open to listen to any opportunity or help connect people together.
