What happened 4-5 years ago is irrelevant.

If this much of a talent deficit makes it unfair to compare Golesh's results with those other programs.... well I know I don't have to tell you this, he's not about to walk into a more even playing field at Arkansas.

He turned 4-26 from Jeff Scott to 7-6 his first season, last year he played over half the season with his backup QB. And this year he’s gonna win 9 games.
He’s the definition of a program builder, good recruiter and excellent NIL fundraiser. He’s literally everything we need to be successful.

We can find pros and cons to any coach before the hire. I’d say golesh is about as good as any of the other names being floated this cycle. Him, Morris, summrall(sp?), Campbell would all be solid hires for where we’ve been. They’re all better than Chad or Pittman on paper

He finished 5th his first year, 5th his 2nd year(back up QB started 7 games) and is 2nd this year.

I'm glad I realized that I shouldn't listen to a damn thing anyone in the Arkansas media has to say about the search this time around.

Idk about the mystery P4 stuff, but I think Campbell was real but not sure how serious it got? That’s a question for someone a lot closer to that situation.
Golesh was always a target, he interviewed at Auburn, Penn St and Florida but he always let it be known this was the job he wanted mainly because of his wife. He feels like he owns it to her to make a move for her when she’s moved all over for him.
Like I said, I always felt like it was him because the smoke was never too thick.

Again…he took over a loser program, with a loser mentality, much like Arkansas has been the past 8-10 seasons. Your other examples walked right into a pink Cadillac of American conference programs already hitting on all cylinders.

Gotta ask mainly because Wess Moore was so certain we’d hire a P4 coach and thought it was already locked up, the search is over right? Baring Golesh completely flipping. Like national media still haven’t said Golesh to Arkansas right? Reminder Marcello said last night there are P4 coaches interested but wouldn’t talk until after the season.

I mean anything is possible and Wess clarified, he said he doesn’t think we could take a chance on hiring a coordinator, he said he had no inside sources saying it was a P4 coach for sure.
But as of this morning, Golesh is still set to be our coach on Sunday. National media won’t post anything until they get the ok from his agent. I’d imagine we’ll get the Pete Thamel tweet sometime late Saturday, USF plays at 6:00
