Dammit I was going to pick him up in my keeper league last week and couldn't pull the trigger. Just checked and someone already got him since then.

He went 4 for 5, 2HR, and 5 RBIs last night for AA Portland… He's tearing the cover off the ball and Sox need help in LF and want to boost their offense even more because of their poor starting pitching.

Reports are that he will sit tonight to take in the atmosphere. Get his first start on Wednesday night in Left Field. They plan on starting him out just facing right handed starters.

and in more sobering news, this is probably Bobby Wernes' last year of playing baseball. He's hitting well under .200 in low classifaction ball. He's a supreme defensive talent, just can't hit.

MLB network just did a nice segment on Benny. They all like him and his chances coming up with the BoSox. Saying, he shouldn't feel the pressure of having to produce right away because the line up is so good. They will not stick him in the 2 or 3 hole to add pressure. He will hit some place in the 6-8 spot.

Yeah I doubt he saw many 99 mph fastballs in the minors or college like their closer was throwing

The last pitch he struck out on was 4 inches off the plate. Terrible call by the ump.
