Next year this team will be scary good.

I’ll be curious to see who the Sunday starter will be. Losing quite a bit of the bullpen plus Fletcher, Kenley and Ezell but feel like we lost more from last year and it didn’t matter much.

Depending on what recruits dont sign from the draft, that 2020 class is loaded. Plus to take over 2B for Kenley, we have former Freshman AA and TCU transfer, Coby Boulware. The kid stole 23 bases last year for TCU. We'll have 2 starters returning. I'm assuming Burton and Trest will be the top relievers. We'll need some true freshmen and redshirt freshmen to step up. There's also a couple of good juco guys coming in Braydon Webb and Chet Allison. Next years team will be loaded.

Why are the finally standings showing State before Arkansas in the rankings? Overall record? Yes, I’m aware we still have the 2 seed.

I'm guessing it's total wins. Only thing that makes sense

According to drewbie's rationale, we finished second in the West

Just when I think you can't get any dumber.

Good to know you've been thinking about that since basketball season, though. I own you.

I assume you know the difference between mid-season and the end of it?

So yesterday we were in second place but today we're in first. Got it.

Yesterday we still had the head to head against the team we were tied with, just like we do today. Use your brain.

You're trying to use a discussion about a 4-way tie in the middle of a season with teams that we hadn't all played yet as reference for a 2-way tie at the end of a season. Not smart.

Yes. Most outlets with standings use overall record as the default tiebreaker when listing teams.

But that mid-season "tiebreaker" is only important to idiots

Or it's the only way to distinguish between ties in the middle of a season for teams that haven't gone head to head yet since there's not a whole lot else you can use and arguing about its validity is about as pointless as bringing it up 5 months later in a completely different sport.

Get a life.

Arkansas is the #2 seed in Hoover for a very glaring reason.

Hint: the series sweep over State.

Reason State is listed higher in standings is most sites sort by overall wins after league record. State has 45 wins overall to Arkansas’ 40. Really good year for both programs when LSU was the overwhelming pick for the west preseason and Ole Miss was second.

He knows. He got lectured on this very subject during basketball season. He's just mad and can't let it go.

I remember that discussion, there is just a lot of stuff from the basketball season that never needs to be brought up again imo
