WR: SAMUEL MBAKE - ARKANSAS SIGNEE

quote:

Boasting elite length for a skill-position projection, Arkansas-bound Samuel Mbake was verified at Monday's check-win with an just shy of 35 inches at 34 3/4. The same can be said for his hand, which was 9 7/8, joining strong height and weight numbers at 6-foot-2 1/8 and 198 pounds. M'Bake competes this week at receiver during All-American Bowl festivities, but M'Bake could play either side of the ball in the long term.

Oh boy, Arkansas message board posters are going to take that one and run with it.

Hey Chuck, since we're losing Ridgeway do you think they will try to put weight on Mbake and move him to nose tackle? I think he has the frame to put on a solid 200-300lbs while still maintaining his 4.5 speed.

I'll hang up and listen.

While it sounds very dumb, isn’t that what we did with Jamal Anderson?

Pretty much....and our fan base has been clamoring for the next Jamaal Anderson for the last 15 years or so now.

This is a quality post. I approve.

Anderson was also 6-6.

Glad he got the development and exposure he needed to be a top pick. He wasn't going to get it here. Our QB only threw for 90 yards in the bowl game.

You wouldn’t think so.. he would be best served being the top option in an Oklahoma pass attack that has everyone transfer out. Increase that stock.

Ehh, I could see him getting picked up in the later rounds. He isn't gonna be THE guy but has talent and you can't doubt his confidence or effort. Let's not be sour. He has wanted to go make his money the whole time. He is one of those guys that never wanted to go to college in the first place. Good luck to him.

I’m fully in Chesh’s camp in that we’d have won at least one more regular season game with Woods and would’ve been in the Sugar Bowl.

Not necessarily because he’s all world, but he because would’ve made our passing game less one dimensional and taken pressure off of Burks and given KJ another outlet he trusted.

When you look at our passing game minus Burks, it makes you realize two things:
1. Burks should’ve won two Heismans for how valuable he was this year
2. It’s that much more impressive that Pittman was able to squeeze 9 wins out of this team

I don't see it. We played about as well offensively as we could have in the OM game the 2pt just didn't work out which would really be the sticking point of that. Would we make the 2pt with mike woods on this team? The only other close game was Bama and we don't win that with Woods.

Auburn the whole team was beat up and low effort so he doesn't win us that one. Georgia was no contest. I think we would have had the same record but just beaten the teams we did by a bigger margin.
