Freeze cheated big and still couldn't beat us or go to Atlanta. That tells people how big of a loser Ole Piss is.

Petrino was a master level game planner, game manager and play caller back before he lost his mojo.

Arkansas doesn't have that now as it is talent vs. talent and it isn't good enough right now.

It also helped having a 5* QB and 4-stars scattered all across the skill positions all from in-state except for Knile Davis. They pretty much carried us for 3 years.

All true, but fans expecting classes ranked in the top 10-15 range are reaching a bit.
If Sam can keep us in the 20-25 range we'll be competitive.

Paul Petrino was on staff at the time and was the best WR coach in the nation. I went to a practice and it was very intense.

So even with two or three talent, his offenses would still put up big numbers.

It won't happen unless the football prestige is better where a staff can get players from out of state. It would help that the instate talent has better development like baseball and basketball. They don't and athletes don't get the coaching and development they need.

But Arkansas has a terrible football reputation and no one wants to come here. And if they do come here like a five star then they get bumped down in the rankings as they didn't sign with a traditional power.

As an example Treylon Burks was a five star at one point but he committed to Arkansas and shutdown his recruiting. So he got bumped down to a four star as punishment.

He was doing great. With that said he's far from perfect and hadn't kept his shite together anywhere for any amount of time

Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County tight end Tyrus Washington has committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Washington, 6-4, 230, went public with his decision at approximately 2 p.m. central on Wednesday to become the Hogs’ 15th verbal commitment for the Class of 2022.

The Georgia native chose Arkansas over two other finalists in Central Florida and Cincinnati. His offer list also included Ole Miss, Nebraska, Kansas State, Maryland, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Tennessee and several others.

Washington, who made an official visit in Fayetteville on the weekend of June 4-6, was recruited to Arkansas by new tight ends coach Dowell Loggains and running backs coach Jimmy Smith, who helps recruit his home state of Georgia for the Hogs.

Loggains is the third tight ends coach to recruit Washington to Arkansas since the Hogs offered in January. Jon Cooper held the position when the Razorbacks offered and was replaced by Cody Kennedy in late January.

After the Hogs saw former offensive line coach Brad Davis take the same job at LSU, Kennedy slid over to coach the O-line while head coach Sam Pittman added Loggains to the staff.

According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings, Washington is a three-star recruit, the No. 28 tight end in the nation, and the No. 56 overall prospect in the state of Georgia for the Class of 2022. 247Sports gives him a similar ranking, as the No. 40 tight end in the land and the No. 61 player in the Peach State.

With the addition of Washington, Arkansas moves slightly ahead of Missouri and Baylor for the No. 16 recruiting class in the nation. The 2022 haul also has a current ranking of No. 6 in the SEC.

Arkansas is still heavily involved for one of Washington’s good friends and teammates in 2022 four-star linebacker Jaron Willis, who remains committed to Georgia Tech but made an official visit with Washington at Arkansas in early June.

In addition to Washington, the Hogs' 2022 class includes seven other players on the offensive side of the ball in Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove running back Rashod Dubinion, Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview running back James Jointer, Clarendon (Ark.) wide receiver Quincey McAdoo and tight end Dax Courtney, Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes offensive lineman Eli Henderson, Maumelle (Ark.) offensive lineman Andrew Chamblee, and Little Rock (Ark.) Joe T. Robinson offensive lineman E'Marion Harris.

Arkansas' defensive class includes four-star safety Myles Rowser of Belleville (Mich.), three-star cornerback Jaylen Lewis of Brownsville (Tenn.) Haywood, three-star defensive end JJ Hollingsworth of Greenland (Ark.), three-star defensive lineman Nico Davillier, three-star linebacker Kaden Henley of Springdale (Ark.) Shiloh Christian, and three-star linebacker Mani Powell of Canton (Ohio) McKinley.

The Razorbacks also have a scholarship commitment from long snapper Eli Stein of Cambridge (Wisc.).

Not many commitments left, I don't see Arkansas staying in the top 25.

Arkansas has a bout four SEC teams below them that have less than 10 commitments. So they must telling recruits not to commit yet. Unless Arkansas can get some big names on a visit then they will drop in the lower half of the conference.

Sam is doing a good job but I don't expect signing some highly ranked classes anytime soon.

There's no doubt our ranking will drop some by the time the final standings come out, but it is worth noting that on 247, our avg. rating for the 15 commits in this class so far is 0.8775.

how does this compare to recent avg ratings and final rankings?

If you are really worried about it just check and see where we are based on average recruit rating. Anybody who has a lower recruit rating isn’t setup well to catch us, and those that do might but it’s no guarantee
