Ranking the Contenders: Kingsley Suamataia

quote:

5. ARKANSAS

This is a dark horse, there’s no doubt about that, but Suamataia seems to like coach Sam Pittman a lot and there is definitely a huge opportunity to play from day one in Fayetteville. Again, it’s going to be crucial for the four-star to visit Arkansas and if that happens - and if Pittman can really sell his vision for the program - then the Razorbacks could move up. It’s going to be tough for Pittman and his outstanding group of assistants to land a high four-star prospect from Utah.

ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS (THANKS TO SAM PITTMAN)

Strengths: OL

quote:

Who was smiling more than Sam Pittman this past weekend? The new Arkansas head coach, who coached the offensive line at Georgia the past three seasons, just saw three more of his pupils go in the draft with two in the first round headlined by Andrew Thomas, the first offensive tackle off the board at No. 4. Fellow offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson went later in the first and offensive guard Solomon Kindley was selected in the fourth round adding another named to Pittman’s distinguished list of former players.

Any offensive lineman considering Arkansas is hoping for the same trajectory with their own careers. Two are already committed with the likes of Devon Manuel, Remington Strickland and Ed’zavier Deblaw being three more the Razorbacks have a great shot to land. Looking ahead to 2022, in-state four-star Andrew Chamblee is as coveted a prospect Arkansas is currently recruiting regardless of class.

I'm not gonna lie I'm actually not very impressed with our recruiting efforts so far.

Still way too early, but I was hoping we'd land either Salter or Drones. But hell this time last year we thought Chandler Morris was a lock and if not then we'd be able to land Criswell. Gotta trust Briles to find the right guy even if they aren't as highly rated.

Hard to really fault a new coaching staff when they're hamstrung by not being able to have kids visit right now.

Especially coming off back to back 2-10 seasons with a new coaching staff that hasn't proven one damn thing yet.

Ebony Jackson tweeted a Hog emoji. Sounds like he’s still planning on coming here one way or another

if the kid gets, or got it together... he would be a good one. I have silently been cheering the dude on!

They’ve been high on him as a S/DB since he first visited.

Danny posted we haven't been talking to Clayton Smith, 4 star OLB who he said was the most impressive looking recruit on an Arkansas campus in many many years, in a while. Clayton himself said that.

Once again our recruiting is very very poor. Ill be surprised if we get out of the 40s. Might be next to last just above vandy in the end.

Not being able to get kids on campus is going to destroy our ability to recruit well for this class.

We haven't seem to show much interest or push for any of the Texarkana area kids and it's loaded this year.

I'm not really surprised because Traylor/Lunney were over that area.

True. Not having any in-person evaluation and no camps is going to make a lot of schools reach for players.

Clemson has offered a Georgia QB after wanting Coley to wait so maybe now Coley announces to us shortly.
