Hmmm, that was fairly quick. He didn't have plans before this to commit did he?
Could be seen as the first domino to fall in that great 2022 in state class.

"I was pretty much the main person doing my recruiting," Pinion said. "My family and coaches were all really supportive of me but they didn't force me into anything. When I was praying on it, I felt like God really put it upon my heart and dropped Arkansas right into my lap. That made it an easy decision."

Pinion can play, he is good off the dribble too. Game kinda like Gordon Hayward in that he can shoot from distance or put it on the floor and nail a midrange jumper.

I watched his highlights.
Smooth jumper that he can fire from deep. Has a great handle on the ball and decent hops.
I really like the pick up.

his dad was my teacher at atkins. good family.
his dad was the basketball coach. yet he never played. he was in band lol. his sister played, and was really good apparently. I believe she was a coach as well at tech at one point, and taught Craig everything he knew.
I think he gets his height from his grandparents because neither of his parents are tall.

If he grows to about 6’7 or 6’8 by the time he gets here and keeps his shooting ability that will be deadly

University of Arkansas head men’s basketball coach Eric Musselman announced that Kamani Johnson has signed with the Razorbacks. Johnson comes to Arkansas after playing two seasons at Arkansas-Little Rock.
The 6-7, 215-pound forward is scheduled to join the program in mid-December and will become eligible for the 2021-22 season.
“Kamani comes from a winning program and he has been well coached in a really good system by Darrell Walker,” Musselman said. “He plays extremely hard and is one of the best free throw attempt players in the country. Kamani’s rebounding ability will be an asset and he will fit into our philosophy of trying to get to the free throw line.”
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Johnson was a third team All-Sun Belt pick in 2020 as he more than doubled his point output – going from 5.1 ppg as a freshman to 11.0 ppg as a sophomore – and his rebounding improved from 4.8 per game to 6.7 per game, respectively. Also, his assists total went from 37 to 68 from his first year to his second while his free throw percentage improved from 50.8% to 72.7%. He led the Sun Belt and ranked 26th nationally in free throw attempts in 2019-20 and ranked 49th in the NCAA in free throws made (144). Overall, he played in 58 games with 43 starts in two seasons with the Trojans, scoring 479 points, grabbing 337 rebounds and dishing out 105 assists.

You’re talking about this boy’s aunt there right? I knew knew knew she had to be his aunt. She’s still coaching I believe and her hubby is head coach at Morrilton.
So given that I knew his aunt when I was young. We used to play against each other in basketball and softball. And let me start by saying that I think she’s a cool lady from people I know who know her now but she LITERALLY, when we were in 5th or 6th grade, missed a free throw and fell to the floor in dramatic fashion as if she just lost the nba championship. My whole team looked at each other like wtf. We always had a semi heated (not nasty but just our teams were about equally good) rivalry.
At basketball camp we played 3 on 3 and we got to choose what position we played (i wanted to always be a point guard but at that stage in life i was like one of the tallest kids (boy that changed soon after) so i had to play post) so back to camp I got to play point against her and I stole the ball from her and drove in for a layup. Ahh glory days My skills were
