High Point grad transfer Jahaad Proctor tells me that he has committed to Purdue. Immediately eligible. Averaged 19.5 PPG.

Was supposed to visit next weekend.

He makes the second off the board with Cheatham to Nebraska.

Have been trying to find the answer but does anyone know when we would know about Walker in terms of reclassification.

Probably but didn't know if there was some hard deadline for the reclassification process in which we know if its happening or not. I'm sure we will get more information on everyone coming out of this weekend.

The 7’3” 3-point shooting C has heard from Baylor, Arkansas, Oklahoma St., TCU, Maryland, Vanderbilt, tOSU and Tulsa. Will take a visit or two soon. Decision by mid-May. Still considering staying at Cal.

Would be a good combination of giving us more size and stretching the floor which is hard to find at the 5 spot. Didn't know he was from LR.

You don't remember the Vanover hype a couple years back?

I would take him in a heartbeat, ended up having a solid freshman year at Cal once he got inserted into the starting lineup later in the year.

24 points 5 boards 6 blocks 9/12 from the field 5/6 from three in last reg season game vs Stanford.

I went back and looked at his recruiting profile and I do remember that all now.

Played at the same place as Chaney outside of Nevada and signed with Memphis before getting let out of his LOI. The Cal thing threw me off at first.

watched him in HS a couple times. came away thinking McBride was gonna be the better prospect, at just a jr.

has a good shot, but just moves so stiff and wasnt very aggressive for someone his size. didnt know he landed at Cal. maybe hes put on some weight and grown into his frame a little more.

glad he had a nice year, would be a good piece and big matchup problem off the bench.

Danny had even more info released earlier

"I'm not thinking about it right now," Walker said. "Everybody's saying it's up in the air. I'm going to let them continue saying it. I don't worry about it. I just worry about me and what I'm doing."

"It'd probably be after the summer after everything is done, all my victories and trying to be the best player I can be on and off the court."

Jeff Goodman Verified account @GoodmanHoops

UMass grad transfer Jonathan Laurent will visit Oklahoma State this weekend and is also considering Arkansas and Tulane, he told @Stadium.

quote:

Grad-transfer Jonathan Laurent (6-6 combo forward, UMass, native of Orlando, FL) just told me he's looking at visiting Arkansas a week from today.

"I'm supposed to be on campus Monday (May 6), but haven't finalized anything yet," Laurent said.

A 6-6 combo forward, Laurent averaged 9.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists as a fourth-year junior in 2018-19 at UMass, and his shooting efficiency was outstanding -- 53.7% field goals, including 46.7% from 3, and 85.7% free throws.

Laurent, who played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Rutgers in the Big 10 from 2015-17 before sitting out a transfer-redshirt season in '17-18, will have one season of immediate playing eligibility where he lands in '19-20.

Laurent reportedly will visit Oklahoma State this weekend (May 3-5).

Idaho State grad transfer Brandon Boyd chooses Cal Baptist. Wanted to stay close to home.

Cal Baptist is not eligible for the postseason.

Connor Vanover to officially visit Arkansas following his Vanderbilt one.

quote:

Arkansas native and California Bears center Connor Vanover has set an official visit date with Eric Musselman and the Razorbacks.

Vanover, 7-3, 225, signed with Cal out of Little Rock (Ark.) Baptist Prep but recently entered the transfer portal. He is now expected to visit Fayetteville on May 9-10, a couple of days after an official visit at Vanderbilt. As a freshman, he averaged 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and over a block per game while appearing in 28 contests. He started 15 times and had a solid final stretch of three games, averaging over 17 points, 6 rebounds and nearly 3 blocks per game.

Vanover, whose mother played for Arkansas' women's basketball team, went un-offered by Mike Anderson and the previous Razorback staff. Should he transfer to Arkansas, he would have to sit out the upcoming season before having three years of eligibility remaining.

Let's see here. Team didnt rebound for crap, no true inside guy, and you dont offer a 7'-3" kid from your own back yard, that was good enough to play as a freshman in a Power 5 conference.....
